Dick Slater & Bob Orton Jr. vs. Wahoo McDaniel & Mark Youngblood - Eh, Youngblood isn't very good. However, Slater had some nice exchanges with him including one that sent Slater over the top rope. Slater and Orton take turns making Youngblood seem like a credible threat early on and they make a great tag team breaking out great offense and signature stooging. Man, I am enjoying the hell out of this match but Youngblood as FIp sucks because if Ricky Steamboat was in that same position, this would have been a match that people actually talked about years later. Wahoo's chops sound freaking vicious. It was no surprise that Youngblood took the fall esp. since he had no business in the ring with the other three. Great heel offense, Wahoo's chops and a cool post-match make this a nomination on my part.

I give this a low end nomination. The heels with their stooging really made this match. I didn't hate Younblood as much as Will. Thought his FIP work was fine. The heels were great focusing on the back. The heels gave him hope spots to keep it interesting. Crowd erupts for the hot tag to Wahoo and he doesn't dissapoint. Eventually Wahoo gets cut off and we see Wahoo as FIP. Slater/Orton vs. Steamboat/Jay Youngblood seems like a match made in heaven. Youngblood looks gassed at the finish. Then we get an injury angle on Wahoo post match.

Bob Orton Jr. & Dick Slater vs. "Chief" Wahoo McDaniel & Mark Youngblood

Slater is all about the bumping and hemming & hawwing early in the match before tagging in Orton who is all business using a huge backbreaker on Mark but to his credit Mark fights back and has the heels worried. Orton though would catch Mark in a side backbreaker after tagging in Slater who dropped an elbow on his head and Slater followed up with some roughhousing. Mark is chunked to the floor where Orton would work him over including dropping him back first on the railing before Wahoo runs him off. Orton & Slater now take turns punishing Mark before Slater would try for a piledriver which was countered by Mark with a backdrop allowing him to get the hot tag to Wahoo. Orton & Slater take turns now bumping and selling for Wahoo who is a house of fire until Orton tripped up Wahoo before tagging Slater in. Wahoo was in the heels corner and even when he fought back he got attacked by Orton and now we get a double FIP section. Orton drops some hard knees on Wahoo's head before tagging in Slater who accidentally hits him allowing the babyfaces to make their comeback forcing a 4-way brawl. Wahoo is sent to the floor and Mark fights off the heels with dropkicks before Wahoo takes Slater down him him. Mark would miss a dropkick before eating a Superplex by Orton for the finish although Wahoo broke it up too early making it look bad. Both teams continued to fight after the match and Slater would come off the top step on Wahoo's arm with Orton following off the top rope which was a wild bump. This was a fine match even though it felt clunky at times but there is enough on here to get a low-end nomination.
