Anyway, Some Guy was entertaining the idea of making me a Kane-Undertaker comp with all of those classic promos and matches but he was going to charge me double for having to sit through all of those Paul Bearer interviews. This got me thinking...

I personally think Paul Bearer is the worst manager of all-time. I am not talking about the mindless eye candy tha tcan pass themselves off as managers (Woman, Baby Doll, Elizabeth, etc.) but the men who rolled in the corner. Some managers have terrible gimmicks (Slick), some are perfect at what they do (Heenan, Cornette), some are just there (Lou Albano) but who was the worst?

Paul Bearer was handcuffed by the gimmick, Percy Pringle was a great manager in World Class.

Actually, most managers are made by their gimmick. Downtown Bruno was great as a heel in Memphis, but Harvey Whippleman was a terrible manager in the WWF. It didn't help that most of his charges were jobbers, but his gimmick left no chance of him ever getting over.

I'd actually vote for Paul Ellering as the worst manager. The Roadies certainly didn't need a mouthpiece, and they certainly didn't need someone to interfere on their behalf. There was literally no reason for Ellering to be there.

As far as WWF managers, Bearer is the worst. He couldn't bump, he was obnoxious to the point that one would feel the need to charge double for having to sit through his promos while making a comp and did nothing for the Undertaker character or for Kane.

I can't figure out why they stuck Vader with him in WWF, when Cornette was still there. Foley didn't need a manager, as he was great on promos, but putting Bearer with him made sense in the storyline with Taker.

Sunny, Sherri, Madusa, Liz, and even Chyna were all better managers than Moody was. They fit their roles well and did a good job at playing them.

I think Jimmy Hart sucked, as did Johnny V, Michael Hayes was pretty bad during the brief time he was the Hardyz' manager.

On the flip side Cornette and Heenan were the best managers I've seen, Heymen was pretty damn good as well, Davairi is pretty good for current guys.

Jimmy Hart started out pretty well in the WWF, but become more annoying and intolerable as the years went by. He would be up there in my worst of all time list. He was much better in Memphis.

Maybe the guy wasn't a full time manager, but my vote goes to the Genius. He did nothing for Hennig and then managed the Beverly Bros. when they were headed straight to jobberville.

Oliver Humperdink, Slick, and Sapphire were all pretty bad as well.

And while obviously not his fault, Cornette managed some pretty awful guys in the WWF

Any "face" manager, such as Oliver Humperdink, Paul Ellering, or Arnold Skaaland. They serve no real purpose. Especially Skaaland, who did nothing but provide screwjob finishes and hold the belt.

Usually they paired Harvey with the monster heel (Sid, Warlord, Adam Bomb etc.) with the idea that the heel would look that much bigger next to him.

We've gotten this far already and no one has said Sonny Onoo. I can't think of anyone worse, or more useless.

Did Col Rob Parker do anything of value at all?
