All the Flair/Steamboat matches are great, but with the grand entrances, the non-formula approach and the crowd coming unglued, in addition to the finish being a big "fuck you" to the previous regime, this really catches everything that made the NWA a million times better than the WWF in one match. The only Flair/Steamboat match I like better is the one from Landover.

August 14, 201411 yr comment_5618762 A high end nomination. Just a classic . The finish was just a big cross up on the Dusty finish. They really won the crowd here and were going crazy on the finish. I like when Steamboat uses the headlock as his transition he doesn't use his arm drags . The aftermath of Flair on his knees in the ropes with his head down just puts over how important the World Title was. The granddaddy of them all since. 1905.
