Posted December 9, 200717 yr comment_5424928 King of the Hill Battle Royal - No Terry Funk Interview Brian Pillman vs. Bill Irwin - Man, Brian Pillman had some great looking dropkicks. Still, a nothing match. Paul E. Dangerously Interview The Skyscrapers vs. Dynamic Dudes - Fuck, Sid was over. Hell, I might throw this in the extras just for the crowd chant. Jim Cornette vs. Paul E. Dangerously (Tuxedo Match) - No Gary Hart Interview Rick & Scott Steiner vs. Mike Rotunda & Kevin Sullivan (Texas Tornado Match) - There was s shitload of action in this but it was still only a 4-minute match. No vote from me. Sting & Eddie Gilbert Interview Sting vs. Great Muta - Shit, Muta was over too, not Sid over, but over none the less. This was pretty great with Muta staying active. I fon't understand why the match ontinued if Nick Patrick was able to talk to Tommy Young. Shitty ending but I guess they were trying to keep both guys strong for the moment. Still a nomination. Ricky Steamboat vs. Lex Luger - Usually I shit on a DQ finish but this was the best DQ finish I can think of. The match was also pretty good although below the level of Stemaer's matches with Flair and Funk from the same year. Another nomination. The Freebirds & Samoan Swat Team Interview Midnight Express Interview Dr. Death & Road Warriors Interview Road Warriors, Midnight Express & Steve Williams vs. The Freebirds & Samoan Swat Team (Wargames) - This is the first time I have sever sat through this from beginning to end and it is really wierd seeing the Road Warriors & MX on the same team. I don't like Jimmy Garvin starting for the heels but he is in there with Bobby Eaton so the action keeps going. ONce Dr. Death and Gordy are in the ring together, the action really picks up. Doc even eats a backdrop Driver from Gordy. Samu looks lost in there. Who is he anyway? I thought the Samoans were Tonga Kid and Rikishi. Man, Gordy and Doc pretty much saved this one. Really, most of this was a clusterfuck with guys aimlessly wondering around and little blood. This isn't bad like some later Wargames but it doesn't compare to the upper-echelon such as 1987, 1991 and 1992. In a way, I feel like I am obligated to nominate it but I don't want to. I'll let one of you make an argument for its inclusion. Ric Flair Interview Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk - Easy nomination and great brawl. Funk bleeds enough to compensate for the lack of blood in the Wargames and the post-match was great also.
