Easy nomination and it will probably be my #1. Barry Windham vs. Rick Steiner (7/4/87) - This is JIP and not enough was shown to make the cut Lex Luger vs. Nikita Koloff (Cage match) (7/11/87) - I couldn't tell if this was cut or not. I think I have this on TV so I'll double check there. Steve Williams vs. Dick Murdoch (Texas death match) (7/4/87) - Criminally short. I love both of these guys but this isn't a nomination. The Freebirds vs. Manny Fernandez, Paul Jones, & Ivan Koloff (7/4/87) - No Dusty Rhodes vs. Tully Blanchard (barbed wire ladder match) (7/18/87) - Man, as much as I loved the taped fist, I despised this one. A jumbled mess. Ric Flair vs. Jimmy Garvin (steel cage match) (7/11/87) - As much as I love the Ron Garvin cage matches, I don't like this one. I'll inbclude the date with Precious as an extra but I won't be nominating this match. Rock N Roll Express vs. Midnight Express (7/4/87) (Could this be 7/31/87?) - I am on the fence with this one. On the one hand, there is nothing actively bad about this match but there are so many MX and RNR matches that smoke this, I wonder if anyone would even miss this one if it wasn't on the set. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Lex Luger & War Machine vs. Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff, Road Warriors, & Paul Ellering (Wargames) (7/31/87) (22:33) - Another easy nomination but a step below the first one. The War Machine outfit screamed jobber but Big Bubba made it work. They really should have just "hired" big Bubba in promoting the match. ONe of the things that bothers me is the wierd blue hue from the close-up camera.
