Clips of matches

- Nikita & Ivan Koloff vs. Dr. Death & Terry Taylor

- JIP but we get about 9 minutes of action but lose about ten. Ivan plays his classic role of playing heel in peril while Doc and Taylor work well together. Match ends in a draw with the Russians attacking the faces after.

Sheepherders vs. Fantastics

- This match made the Fans-Sheeps feud legendary for its brutality but we don't get enough of it to decide for ourselves. This goes on as an EXTRA but not on any main set.

Ron Garvin & Magnum TA vs. Giant Baba & Tiger Mask

- I wonder how this would have gone down in Japan. Only about 5 minutes shown.

Jim Duggan vs. Dick Slater

- This was ok but it doesn't come close to thier awesome Mid South matches. No vote.

Ric Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes

- Is there a definitive Dusty-Flair match because I have not seen it yet? We only get about 11 minutes of a 22 minute match.

Road Warriors vs. Magnum TA & Ron Garvin

- The crowd must have been drained because they were dead for this. I think the fact that they were both face teams may have hurt it as well. Not disc worthy.

Crockett Cup - Finals: The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin & Magnum TA (4/19/86) (Road Warriors)

Garvin & Magnum was a makeshift team after Dusty got put into the match with Flair and it was a surprise to see them in the finals. This was a very interesting matchup between babyfaces that in the finals of any tournament at this time was odd. Garvin was a guy who could take the Roadies punishment and deliver it back to him just as stiff and he threw some wicked chops here. Magnum worked FIP and the Roadies really punished him but in a scientific way for them. Hawk broke out the Canadian Backbreaker drop that would become one of Giant Bernard’s finishers in the Train Wreck and made the crowd go oooooo. Magnum would get a belly-to-belly on Animal for a nearfall and led up to the hot tag to Garvin as Hawk would come in with him that led to Garvin just nailing Hawk with 3 headbutts that looked hard as shit. Garvin would then hit Hawk with the right hand that was broken by the Horsemen and hurt himself bad. Animal would get the tag in and he nailed Garvin with a big clothesline for the pin. This was a different match for the Roadies at this time and it was a good one but not a nomination.
