Arn Anderson vs. Ron Garvin (TV Title match) (13:13)

- TV match based around Arn controlling Garvin with a headlock early on. I love how these guys wok their holds always keeing their hands moving trying to feel out their oponent. When an announcer says it is a human game of chess, I think of matches like this one. This also has the great post-match where Arn and Tully break Garvin's hand. This is great.

Ric Flair vs. Ricky Morton (TV 4/12/86) (12:18)

- Early on, we have Ricky using his speed to show up Flair until he grounds him in a headlock. Morton's breaking out the moves in this one including his sunset flip and hurrucarana . They go back and forth until a ref bump where Morton rolls through on top after a Flair flying body press and Robert Gibson hits the ring and counts to 3. These two have had much better matches but this was a classic angle at the very least. I'll put it on as an EXTRA but have no problem if someone nominates it.

World Wide Wrestling 3/29/86

Leo Burke & Thunderfoot vs. Italian Stallion & Rocky Kernodle (3/23/86)

This was a competitive match but the heels were too much here with Thunderfoot using the loaded boot to win.

Dusty & Baby Doll are out next for a promo where Dusty called Tully a "white honky" which was hilarious. He also said that Baby Doll was named Lady of the Year by "Better Mansions & Gardens."

Then we get promos from Paul Jones, Baron, Tully, & Dillon for new affiliates in Boston & Prescott, Arizona.

Tony & David then go over the list of Crockett Cup teams again.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. George South (3/23/86)

Fans chant for Wahoo while Garvin finishes South off with a brainbuster in less than a minute.

Pistol Pez Whatley is out next with David Crockett then Valiant joins him where he talks about how Whatley is the best black athlete in the world which makes him snap. Whatley then destroys Valiant and pulls out some scissors where he cuts his some of Valiant's hair. Magnum & Garvin would run him off. Definite extra.

No torture here....just a quick KO for Garvin.

Garner trying to fight back was hilarious as he would get killed for that.

Magnum comes out next wearing a Copenhagen hat and said that he now hates Nikita more than he hated Tully.

World Championship Wrestling 3/29/86

Ronnie Garvin comes out and talks about getting cage matches against Ric Flair and he can't run or hide now.

Pez Whatley is out next with his prize of Valiant's hair and he again said that he isn't through yet. This is good stuff and extra material.

Next we get a taped promo from Valiant in his serious voice saying that Whatley is still his brother and he hopes he was just sick in the head when he attacked him. Extra material.

Garvin & Precious both beat Turner down here.

Nighthawk Coltrane is back out and he is worried about what Whatley has done and he wants to help him.

Mr. Torture is back and he just wrenches and wrenches on Zane.

Dusty & Baby Doll are out next with Dusty holding his bullrope while talking about a USA Today article on wrestling saying that he makes more money than any football player. Dusty is hilarious here talking mad shit and Doll wants Arn's jaw to be broken. Extra material.

Arn, Tully, & Dillon are out next for a promo with a retort on Dusty saying that actions speak louder than words and they both beat him. Dillon talks about Sam Houston & Jimmy Valiant putting dresses on Baby Doll's Cabbage Patch dolls. Arn said where he comes from women make dinner and babies.

Quick Magnum squash you bet.

Garvin & Magnum are out next talking about the Crockett Cup and all the tough teams that will be there but they would win it.

Tully Blanchard vs. Bill Tabb (3/29/86)

Tully just dominates Tabb on the mat then finishes him off with the Slingshot Suplex.

Precious comes out next for a promo wanting to know where Wahoo is at and he shows up where she said that he isn't real Indian anyway and that Garvin is going to destroy him.

Flair is out next talking about the NCAA Final Four and said that he had his own final four in Daytona Beach the night before and that Miss Indiana won his championship. Flair then bets David $100,000 that he would make it to New Orleans as the champion. As Flair is talking, the RnR show up for their match cutting him off which pisses him off saying that you should never cut him off for Romper Room. Extra material.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Kent Glover & Art Pritts (3/29/86)

Flair does commentary here and he is highly pissed off at being cut off. Flair is fucking on fire here talking shit while the RnR work over the jobbers. Flair then calls over the RnR to him after the match and he pulls out a training bra to give Morton and puts it around his neck. Morton then cuts a promo on him and takes his glasses off then stomps on them. They start fighting and the battle goes to the ring where Morton just beats the piss out of Flair. Ricky Morton's push vs. Flair was to kill RnR because they drew the $100,000 house without Dusty. Robert put in underneath matches and Ricky losing to Flair was thought to slow them down. Slam dunk extra.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson vs. David Dillenger (3/29/86)

Poor Dillenger gets Arn twice on two different TV shows on the same day. Like in their World Wide match, Arn just dominates with armwork but this match goes a little longer and Arn uses the Gourdbuster to win.

Ivan & Nikita are out next talking about the Crockett Cup & Magnum.

Wahoo is back out talking about Precious & Garvin and he said that if a woman steps out of her place with men then he will treat her like a man.

Total destruction and then we get a promo afterwards talking about wanting to win the Crockett Cup.

Nighthawk Coltrane is out to start the show talking about his concern about how Pez Whatley he is acting and he wants to help him.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Ray Traylor (3/29/86)

This would be a big match at Starrcade 8 months later but now this is just Mr. Torture doing what he does best.

Wahoo is out for a promo and he basically buries Traylor for not trying hard enough against Ronnie. Wahoo then cuts a promo on Precious again.

Flair is out next talking about what happened with Morton on WCW and Flair said that Morton made the biggest mistake of his career jumping him. Flair says that this is personal now. Definite extra.

Tully Blanchard vs. Art Pritts (3/29/86)

Tully just toys with Pritts before finishing him off with the Slingshot Suplex. Tully & Dillon then cut a promo afterwards about the Crockett Cup.

Owens gets some shots in on Arn early which just pisses Arn off so he hits the Gourdbuster quickly to win. Arn then cuts a promo afterwards where he reiterates what Tully said about winning the Crockett Cup then cuts a promo on Wahoo telling him to come on.

Wahoo makes an example out of Turner here.

Garvin finishes off Brown easily with the Brainbuster.

Pez Whatley is out next with Valiant's hair again saying that more surprises are coming and that he won't stop until he finishes off Valiant for good.

Wahoo slamming Traylor was something else but the chops were just brutal and Traylor had no real chance.

Magnum is out for a promo next talking about Nikita and they show clips from that Saturday's MACW where Magnum saved Rocky King from being beaten with the chain. Magnum then hung Nikita over the top rope with it.

Nighthawk Coltrane vs. Tony Zane (4/5/86)

This is Coltrane's first TV Match and he wins quickly with a shoulderbreaker.

Garvin & Precious are next and he said that Wahoo better not mess with Precious ever again and that he knows that Wahoo is washed up saying that he has swamp fever and he won't wrestle him.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. Bob Owens (4/5/86)

Good seeing Manny back on TBS for the first time in a while and he looks good against Owens.

Wahoo comes out and cuts a promo on what Garvin said afterwards and he thought it was ridiculous.

Ronnie Garvin comes out next and talks about his match with Arn later on in the show and that he is hungry for titles.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Gene Ligon (4/5/86)

Ligon tries but fails as Ivan is just too much for him.

Dusty & Baby Doll are out next talking about the Horsemen and Dusty's vendetta against them.

Hector Guerrero vs. Carl Styles (4/5/86)

Hector makes hit TV debut here and looks really good beating Styles.

Whatley is out in his tux gear while Paul Jones is now in his army outfit. The heels just maul these guys.

Cornette is out next talking about winning the Crockett Cup as well as taking out the RnR & Roadies. RnR's music hits and they interupt Cornette this week.

These guys are easy pickings for the RnR and afterwards they cut a promo about their issues with Ric Flair with clips shown of Morton beating him down.

Magnum TA vs. Randy Mulkey (4/5/86)

30 seconds or so for Magnum.

Paul Jones and his army are out next talking about their quest to end Jimmy Valiant along with winning the Crockett Cup. Jones then talks about how Whatley has been in the works for a while but Jones said that there is another plan that is coming down the road that is ridiculous. Whatley then gets renamed Shaska and he cuts a wild promo.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (4/5/86)

This is a rematch from a few weeks ago and Arn remembered the last match so he starts stalling early in this one. Arn tries to grapple early but Garvin wants to fight and he starts striking Arn hard and heavy before he starts his stretching routine. Arn would get up and we get a street fight basically now before Arn goes to the floor to stall again. Once Arn goes back to the ring we get some more really good action and now Tully & Dillon have come to ringside to watch what's going on. After some rough and tumble action, Garvin had Arn ready for the KO but Arn ducked to the floor to stall yet again in a smart move. Garvin would lock on an abdominal stretch when Tully would run in for the DQ and they put him out with the spiked Gourdbuster. They also would bash Garvin's right hand around the ringpost where Tully takes off his boot and just bashes it numerous times trying to break it. The match was really good and the finishing angle was really strong so I say this should be a nomination.

Cornette comes out next bragging about Louisville winning the NCAA College Basketball National Championship and said that it's just the beginning as the MX is bringing the Crockett Cup back to Louisville.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Denny Brown & Mike Simani (4/5/86)

Here is the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champ teaming with a jobber and Denny had some moments but the MX were a machine in this time period and couldn't be stopped.

Ivan & Nikita are out next upset about Magnum hanging Nikita with the chain. Nikita takes off his shirt and flexes while yelling at Magnum.

World Wide Wrestling 4/12/86

This starts with Ronnie Garvin & Magnum coming out with Ronnie's hand in a cast from the Horsemen attack and both men said that this setback wouldn't stop them from winning the Crockett Cup.

Black Bart vs. George South (4/8/86)

South shows some spunk but Bart is too tough and rough for him finishing him with the Texas Compactor.

Garvin & Precious are out next talking about how they "injured" Wahoo and how it was easy.

Dusty & Baby Doll are out next and Dusty is coming for some titles and gave Arn a 30 day notice he was taking his title.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Mark Fleming & Gene Ligon (4/8/86)

The Roadies quickly kill these guys and then cut a promo on the Russians with Hawk talking about how they have sick minds.

Ricky Morton vs. Tony Zane (4/8/86)

Morton getting singles matches on TV means it's time for the Flair feud plus looking impressive against a big dude like Zane was good. Flair comes walking out to ringside to watch the match and then after Morton wins, he gets in the ring to talk shit which then turns physical. Morton attacks Flair and beats his ass until the jobbers ran out. Dusty comes out and tries to get Morton to leave which pisses off Flair even more. Slam dunk extra.

Nighthawk Coltrane vs. Vernon Deaton (4/8/86)

Coltrane wins quickly with the shoulderbreaker.

Ivan, Nikita, & the returning Krusher are out next for a promo as Krusher is still on crutches saying he's glad to be back and he is coming for revenge.

Then we get taped promos from Magnum, Manny, & Wahoo.

Arn & Flair are out next very angry about what just happened with Morton and Arn promised some serious damage was coming to him. Flair said that he is going to beat Morton to the point where no one can recognize him. Arn then said that no one gives him 30 days not even his landlord.

The Barbarian vs. Rocky King (4/8/86)

Shaska is with Jones at ringside and Rocky just shakes his head at him. Barbarian then proceeds to destroy him and Shaska helps Barbarian beat him down after the match.

Wahoo is out next and he isn't injured of course and we get the clips of Garvin trying to injure Sam Houston which brought out Wahoo who got sprayed in the face by Precious allowing Garvin to drop him with the Brainbuster. Wahoo said that Garvin needs to pray for himself.

Bull & Hector make quick work of these guys and look good in the process.

Paul Jones & Baron are out next for a promo talking about how Valiant has disappeared and said he was gutless.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Rocky Kernodle & Ron Rossi (4/8/86)

Rocky got some offense in but other than that the MX steamrolled these guys.

Jones is back out for a promo with Shaska & Barbarian again talking about how Valiant is a coward. Shaska is talking shit which brings out Coltrane who offers him some money which Shaska takes and helps Jones & Barbarian pound on him until the Bull makes the save.

Championship Wrestling 4/12/86

Dusty & Baby Doll start the show and he talks about coming for Flair's title at the Crockett Cup.

Another easy win for the RnR.

Paul Jones & Shaska are out next with Jones saying that Whatley is a new man now he is with him and Shaska cuts a promo holding Valiant's hair again.

Magnum is out next wearing a Harley Davidson hat and a Copenhagen satin jacket which is a fucking awesome combo. The focus of course is on Nikita and we get clips of the hanging angle again.

Ivan mauls poor Styles then along with Nikita they cut a promo on injuring Paul Ellering afterwards as well as sending a warning to Magnum.

Denny Brown vs. Art Pritts (4/5/86)

Spotlight match for Denny.

Ronnie Garvin is out next with his hand taped up and he is pretty angry saying that he will get his payback...all while wearing an Eastern Airlines hat. Awesome.

The Barbarian & Shaska Whatley vs. Randy Mulkey & Mike Simani (4/5/86)

The heels dominated as expected.

Arn then comes out for a promo talking about Garvin saying he gets no more shots at him for the TV Title. Arn then said that he & Tully will win the Crockett Cup.

Pistol Pez Whatley is out next with David Crockett then Valiant joins him where he talks about how Whatley is the best black athlete in the world which makes him snap.
