World Wide Wrestling 5/10/86

This starts with Paul Jones & Shaska Whatley talking about shaving Valiant's head making him a bald headed geek. Shaska calling Manny Fernandez an "off brand colored boy" was hilarious.

Tully Blanchard vs. Gene Ligon (5/6/86)

Tully wins with the Slingshot Suplex very quickly.

Cornette is out with David Crockett next talking about how the James Boys are definitely Dusty & Magnum with clips from the WCW match.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Italian Stallion (5/6/86)

Nikita quickly used the Russian Sickle to knock off Stallion.

Manny Fernandez & Hector Guerrero are out next talking about growing up together and how they are coming for the NWA World Tag Titles.

Baron Von Raschke & Shaska Whatley vs. Denny Brown & Rocky King (5/6/86)

The heels dominated here and then Baron broke out a black glove which he used on his claw hand for an Iron Claw pinfall.

Manny cuts a promo with Crockett afterwards saying that his glove deal isn't good and that bad things could be coming but his crew is ready. Valiant then joins him for some shouting.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. George South & Thunderfoot (5/6/86)

Thunderfoot is now a complete jobber and they get destroyed. Hawk broke out his Canadian Backbreaker drop as well for the first time.

Dillon is out next talking about the Garvin/Tully match from the week before and he knows nothing about the coins in the ring other than the fans threw them there. Dillon then talks about the upcoming Great American Bash tour and the Horsemen will be running the show.

Flair then comes out and talks about how great he was and how he was going to slap Road Warrior Hawk.

Jim Crockett comes out next with Sandy Scott and they talk about the Great American Bash tour.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Randy Mulkey (5/6/86)

Ivan wins easily with the Cobra Clutch.

Wahoo is out next for a promo and we get clips of him facing Thunderfoot on MACW when Precious shows up and Garvin not far behind to attack him. Arn would join in and they doubled up on Wahoo which he said won't happen again.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. David Dillenger & Ron Rossi (5/6/86)

Dillenger eats a Double Dropkick in seconds to end the match.

Next we get a promo from the Koloffs with Ivan calling Philadelphia an "abortion."

Tully & Dillon are out next with Tully agreeing with Dillon about the coins bit but all that matters is that he is still the National Champion.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Sam Houston & Nelson Royal (5/6/86)

Sam starts off really strong here taking it to the MX which has Cornette furious at ringside. Nelson would come in and it's more of the same until Eaton rakes him in the eyes but it wouldn't last long as the crowd was molten hot and the faces were feeding off of it. Eaton would throw Houston up high in the air for a desperation face drop and then Royal ran in as we get a brawl with Cornette using the tennis racquet on Houston. The James Boys then showed up and took care of the MX then but a rope around Cornette where they drug him out of the ring and out of the building. David Crockett followed them with the cameras outside where they tied Cornette to their truck and they almost drug him but the MX made the save. Crockett then interviewed the James Boys and said that outlaws live their way. This was an amazing segment in every way and a slam dunk extra.

Championship Wrestling 5/10/86

Flair starts the show with a promo talking about his match with Morton the next night at The Omni on Mother's Day where Morton is handing out roses to the mothers while Flair is cooking in the back.

Tully Blanchard vs. Mike Starr (5/3/86)

Tully shaking the jobber's hand before the match was always great and then he would just kick the shit out of him. Tully & Dillon then cut a promo afterwards about their issues with Garvin.

Cornette is out next where he just rips into Baby Doll then whines about being tricked by the James Boys. Extra material.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. David Dillenger & Rocky King (5/3/86)

The jobbers have a moment of sunshine but the MX bring the rain to kill it. Cornette wanting to call Baby Doll a slut and not being able to but eventually sneaking it in was great.

The Barbarian & Shaska Whatley vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (5/3/86)

Total squash and we get a hilarious promo from Jones & Shaska afterwards.

Ivan & Nikita Koloff, & Baron Von Raschke vs. Larry Clarke, Paul Garner, & Kent Glover (5/3/86)

Fun seeing the NWA World 6-Man Champs team up on TV and they cut a promo afterwards on Dusty & Roadies challenging them.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Carl Styles (5/3/86)

Wahoo just pounds Styles down for the win.

Magnum is out next for a promo talking about Nikita and their future matches.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Lee Peak (5/3/86)

Garvin finishes Peak off fairly quickly with the Brainbuster then cuts a promo on Wahoo and redneck fans afterwards.

World Championship Wrestling 5/10/86

The show opens up with Robert Gibson cutting a promo on Flair & Cornette.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Maurice Cooper (5/10/86)

Mr. Torture just tears up Cooper here and it was funny watching Cooper sneak a shot in which pissed Garvin off. Garvin even broke out a fucking Giant Swing here....amazing.

Manny is out next for a promo saying that he & Valiant are going to shave Shaska bald this Summer. Manny also tells the kids to say no to drugs which was a nice touch.

Wahoo is out next talking about how Arn Anderson has jumped into his feud with Garvin and that he would love to win that title.

Robert Gibson vs. David Dillenger (5/10/86)

Rare singles match for Gibson and he wins easily.

America's Team is out next for a promo about their battles with the MX & Cornette. Dusty talking about how pretty Magnum is which makes Magnum crack up is great.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Tony Zane (5/10/86)

Zane tried to attack Nikita's knee early which was a mistake and he paid for it with a Russian Sickle.

Cornette & MX are out next saying they wanted the James Boys decision reversed with Jim Crockett coming out saying that it won't be reversed unless they can rip the masks off.

Arn Anderson & "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Bob Owens & Carl Styles (5/10/86)

Always fun seeing Arn & Ric as a tag team at this time. Flair makes Styles submit to the Figure-Four Leglock then cuts a promo on Morton afterwards and again talks about slapping Road Warrior Hawk again.

Manny & Valiant are out next with Valiant showing off his new shirt which says "PISTOL PEZ WHATLEY WILL BE A BALD HEADED GEEK" and that's awesome.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Larry Clarke & Paul Garner (5/10/86)

Total squash.

Jim Crockett & Magnum TA are out next together and they are talking about Magnum's TV match against Nikita will be announced next week.

Paul Jones and his army are out next talking about Valiant's shirt and his promo from earlier. Shaska said that he was going to cut Manny's hair next.

The Barbarian, Baron Von Raschke, & Shaska Whatley vs. Butch Brannigan, Kent Glover, & Art Pritts (5/10/86)

These jobbers had no chance here.

Ivan & Nikita are out next for a promo talking about the announcement for next week and they sound ominous.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Jim Dawson (5/10/86)

Garvin destroys this jobber in under 30 seconds with the Brainbuster. Garvin is hilarious here talking about Dusty having his arm around Magnum calling him pretty and basically called them gay. Garvin then rips on Wahoo calling him a "punch drunk Indian" and that he is trying to go after Arn Anderson to get away from him.

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling 5/17/86

This opens up with Flair cutting a promo about having a match with Ricky Morton on TV that day because he wants to settle it in front of the world.

Black Bart vs. Mike Simani (5/10/86)

Bart doesn't play around here.

Next we get promos from Todd Champion, Sam Houston, & Nelson Royal about what just happened with Bart and Houston wants his belt back. Royal wants another match with the MX meanwhile Champion talks about being new in the area.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Golden Terror (5/10/86)

Tully & Dillon are on commentary for this as Garvin squashes Terror.

America's Team & Baby Doll are out next for a promo on all of their enemies with Dusty wearing an Eastern Airlines shirt which is awesome.

90:00 Time Limit for the NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. Ricky Morton (5/10/86)

Nothing like having matches like this on TV. Garvin has to have 5 guys carry him to the ring basically because the fans want to mob him...what a scene this is. Yes this has a 90 minute time limit no misprint. This had some really good back and forth action to start with Morton being the aggressor having the advantage while Flair tried to slow the pace down whenever he could. We got a break with some promos and come back with Morton having Flair in the figure-four and Arn coming down to ringside to cheer on Flair. Gibson then comes down to counter Arn as Morton is taking it to Flair in the ring. Morton gets some nearfalls on Flair but Flair makes a comeback using cheapshots then rips the bandage on Morton's face so he could work over his injured face. Of course the TV show goes off the air as the match is going on....what a cocktease this was.

Championship Wrestling 5/17/86

This starts with Magnum & Crockett coming out and talking about the upcoming Bash as well as the contract signing coming later that night.

Robert Gibson vs. Bill Mulkey (5/10/86)

Robert wins with the Gibson Leglock which was such a cool move.

Next we get a promo from Ivan & Nikita about the contract signing later on.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Art Pritts (5/10/86)

Pritts had no chance here.

Garvin & Precious are next talking about of course Wahoo.

Ivan & Nikita Koloff vs. Ron Rossi & Bill Tabb (5/10/86)

Total squash.

Cornette comes out next saying that since David Crockett wasn't there he was going to help Tony.

Tully Blanchard vs. Carl Styles (5/10/86)

Tully really works over Styles here before putting him away with the Slingshot Suplex.

Then we get Cornette interviewing Flair and this was a fun promo as Flair was on fire and this is extra material.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. Bob Owens (5/10/86)

Owens was nowhere near ready for this battle.

Cornette then cuts a promo on his own on America's Team aka The James Boys and he said that he would wear masks if he was them too.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Butch Brannigan & Maurice Cooper (5/10/86)

Cornette interviewing the jobbers as Eaton had them in headlocks was awesome. Cornette then cuts another promo on America's Team afterwards.

World Championship Wrestling 5/17/86

Cornette comes out to start the show ripping on the James Boys and has a "Mama Cass Workout Tape" for Baby Doll which was hilarious.

Magnum TA vs. Art Pritts (5/17/86)

Magnum of course doesn't take long here.

RnR Express out next for a promo talking about their battles with the Horsemen.

Ragin Bull comes out next for a promo about his & Valiant's war against Paul Jones' Army. Valiant then joins him with an electric razor taunting them.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Robert Burroughs (5/17/86)

Mr. Torture is just ruthless here working over this poor jobber.

Cornette is back out for a promo on the James Boys.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Vernon Deaton & Rocky Kernodle (5/17/86)

Impressive showing from the MX and Cornette was wilding out on commentary.

Tully & Dillon are out next talking about Garvin's hand getting better and Tully doesn't want any part of taped fist matches.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Brodie Chase & Jerry Garmon (5/17/86)

The faces steamroll the jobbers here and Crockett saying that Manny would never turn on Valiant was classic.

Arn Anderson comes out next for a promo talking about all the injuries the Horsemen have caused over the last year and he said that the missing Horseman was on his way back and no one will know when.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Carl Styles & Ray Traylor (5/17/86)

That is quite the jobber team there. Baby Doll is at ringside with Ellering as well. The Roadies then cut a promo afterwards with the Crockett Cup in tow and Hawk sends Flair a warning for talking shit on him.

Garvin & Precious are out next where they narrate clips of Garvin giving Wahoo the Brainbuster on the floor. Garvin calling Baby Doll a "loose jezebel from Stewart Avenue" popped me very hard.

Ivan & Nikita Koloff vs. Jim Dawson & Bob Peters (5/17/86)

These jobbers had zero chance and the Koloffs cut a promo afterwards on Magnum & Roadies.

Tony brings out Gary Juster next and they announce that Crockett Cup 87 will take place in Baltimore.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Gene Ligon & Randy Mulkey (5/17/86)

RnR win in seconds.

Flair comes out and cuts a fun promo about how all of the heels are dominating the world of wrestling right now.

The James Boys come out next for a promo threatening Cornette & MX.

The Barbarian & Shaska Whatley vs. Bill Mulkey & Mike Simani (5/17/86)

Easy squash.

Baby Doll is out next with Dusty who said that he ran into The James Boys on his way out which was funny. Dusty said that he is coming for Arn Anderson and he wants the 4th Horseman to come back.

Baron Von Raschke vs. Tony Zane (5/17/86)

Baron has no problems beating Zane.

Magnum then comes out for a promo with Ivan coming out with a message from the Kremlin saying that Russia is always superior to the US which pissed off Magnum and there won't be a match until they have a press conference.

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling 5/24/86

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Sam Houston (5/13/86)

This is a better than normal matchup. Houston puts up a fight early but Garvin would catch him and put him in a sick brainbuster to get the win.

Next we get promos from Todd Champion & Ronnie Garvin with Champion talking about working his way up the ladder and Garvin talking about his issues with Tully.

Then we get a promo from Magnum about Nikita and they talk up the press conference coming soon.

Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Italian Stallion & George South (5/13/86)

Arn & Tully show their future greatness as a team here.

Garvin & Precious then cut a promo to close the show.

World Wide Wrestling 5/24/86

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. Chief Wahoo McDaniel (5/13/86)

Wahoo works over Arn's left leg a little while Arn keeps Wahoo grounded on the mat with a chinlock as it's a stalemate early on. Arn though started throwing some bombs which brought out some blood from an old wound on Wahoo's head giving some extra oomph for the match. Wahoo then started lighting up Arn with chops then hit a big suplex on Arn for a nearfall. Arn then would start stalling as much as he could but Wahoo would light him up more and more and pinned Arn but Arn got his foot on the bottom rope so the match continued. Arn would then backdrop Wahoo over the top rope to the floor for the DQ to save his title. Yeah this had potential but it missed a good ending and could've went longer.

The Russians then cut a promo next about the press conference.

Championship Wrestling 5/24/86

Cornette whines about America's Team coming out for matches against the MX when they were signed against the James Boys which was funny.

Tully Blanchard vs. Randy Mulkey (5/17/86)

Tully manhandles poor Mulkey.

Cornette is still out complaining about America's Team before walking off.

Arn, Tully, & Dillon are out next for a promo where they warn Dusty that Ole is coming back and he is coming for him.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Robert Burroughs & Mike Simani (5/17/86)

Yeah this is destruction.

Flair comes out next for a promo where he talks about the Horsemen reuniting and how they will raise hell on all the babyfaces. Good stuff.

Ivan & Nikita Koloff vs. Lee Peak & Bill Tabb (5/17/86)

Tabb actually got to slam Ivan which was funny but other than that it was murder.

Roadies are out next with the Crockett Cup and they tell the Horsemen to bring Ole back because they would hurt him again before turning their attention to the MX where they say they want the belts. Hawk then talks some shit on Flair.

Magnum TA vs. Carl Styles (5/17/86)

This lasts a few seconds.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Bob Dawson & Art Pritts (5/17/86)

Total squash.

Magnum is out next talking about the press conference coming soon and he wants Nikita in the ring very badly.

Paul Jones and the army is out next for a promo on Bull & Valiant yet again.

The Barbarian, Baron Von Raschke, & Shaska Whatley vs. Vernon Deaton, Gene Ligon, & Bill Mulkey (5/17/86)

Ligon trying Whatley was hilarious and the heels just destroy the jobbers.

Cornette comes back out again and he talks about the upcoming bunkhouse matches between the MX and America's Team or James Boys and they are going to unmask them.
