Rock N Roll Express vs. Arn & Ole Anderson (TV 7/19/86) (25:30)
- Classic RNR tag with both guys shining and playing FIP. However, the Andersons work Morton OVER during his FIP section really making this stand out. Awesome spot where Ole is about to come of the top rope and Gibson comes out of nowhere to hit him in the midsection on his way down. This ends in a draw and was not as good as the Starrcade cage but still worthy of a nomination.

Really great stuff, Morton starts off going after Arn’s nose, Andersons work over Gibson for a while, until the hot tag, Ricky goes nuts even hitting a missile dropkick. R+R’s work over Ole’s leg for a while, before Ole takes control with a nasty headbut to the ear. They work over Ricky’s broken nose, and we get another big hot tag and a super near fall section. Great, great match, contender for tag of the decade.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Arn & Ole Anderson) vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) (7/16/86)

RnR dominated early and they worked on Arn's nose which was great psychology as it played off the Morton injury. Gibson would get trapped in the corner and the Andersons then took control using double-teams to get the advantage. Both would take turns working over Gibson's left arm. Morton would get the hot tag and he ran wild on the Anderson's throwing some great jumping punches then hit a big missile dropkick off the top rope on Arn for a nearfall. RnR now are tagging in and out and they are focusing on Ole's left leg which was the injury that had him out for the first half of the year. Arn came in and they went to work on his left leg as well but the Andersons would finally get back on top going for Morton's nose which they worked over effectively. Morton is so good here working the FIP role as expected and the fans are on fire for him to get the tag to Gibson. Morton's desperation nearfalls were great as well and the fans bought into all of them as the time was ticking down. Gibson would jump in the ring during the last 90 seconds of the match and it became a 4-way brawl before Gibson just stayed in the ring with Tommy Young making him the legal man. We get more nearfalls as the crowd goes wild before Gibson locks on a sleeper on Arn as the bell rings for the 30:00 draw. This is a pretty damn great match and we miss around 5 minutes or so but we have more than enough to push this forward as a solid nomination.
