Posted December 10, 200717 yr comment_5425057 Two matches that must be included off hand... Bob Backlund vs. Ken Patera (1980) Bob Backlund vs. Greg Valentine (1984) I'll get the exact dates later.
December 10, 200717 yr comment_5425058 5/19/80 and 4/23/84, respectively. There are way more also, including a 10-man elimination tag from Philly where Mr. Fuji did an overhead release belly-to-belly suplex.
January 13, 200817 yr Author comment_5426981 Mid South Ric Flair vs. Butch Reed 6/24/85 (House 54) (31:20) Possibly the complete Texas Death Match Possible complete Gordy-Dibiase cage match WWF Piper vs. Orndorff 6 man elimination tag
February 17, 200817 yr Author comment_5428215 I just got the Houston ep with the TX Death Match and the episode that appeared on TV is not complete either In fact, I don't think they show anything that wasn't in the clip we have except the introductions.
May 12, 200817 yr comment_5431240 Brian found some Munari Mid-South raw footage tapes to loan me. One looks like it may be "new" stuff, as there's a Dundee/Duggan vs Doc/Hercules tag listed that I don't remember seeing around.
May 12, 200817 yr comment_5431257 Checking the other tape that doesn't have a list, there's at least a Midnight Express vs Dusty Rhodes/Master Gee match (not sure what arena) and a Reed-Magnum match from Houston (is this the JIP one that aired on a Power Pro or something?) that seem unfamiliar.
July 12, 200817 yr comment_5432822 Not yet but did just convert it. And since I was Ffwding, I didn't realize it was Sonny King and not Master Gee (no jokes please, I thought Welles was the only black dude in Mid-South who wore neon colored long tights).

August 28, 200817 yr comment_5434255 Bob Backlund v. Harley Race 9/22/80 I assume that by the time we put out an erratta set enough time will have passed and we could put this on if we wanted to. I was really underwhelmed by this, the opening section with Backlund working a headlock was good, but man were parts of this bad. Honestly some of the worst punches I can remember seeing, and there was a point where Backlund get hit in the stomach and flies over the top rope, looked backayard bad. So I am going to go with a no vote here
August 28, 200817 yr comment_5434256 My sentiments pretty much echo Phil's. The opening headlock section is neat and then it falls off a cliff. Neat to have on video finally but no reason to even consider getting any WWE sources fired.
September 14, 200817 yr comment_5434558 Curt Hennig vs. Jerry Lawler (Stretcher Match, 4/16/88) We get about 10 minutes of 12, not as good as either the title change or the AWA TV rematch, as it is mostly Henning working over Lawler with a short comeback. Still enough fun stuff, plus a crazy Scott Levy, masked Eddie Gilbert ether finish to nominate for Erratta
September 14, 200817 yr comment_5434560 Jerry Lawler vs. Curt Hennig (AWA World Title Rematch; No Time Limit and No DQ; 6/13/88) Pretty great match for the most part, we had some fun Hennig bumping for Lawlers punch and a fun Lawler work with a steel chair including Lawler atomic dropping Henning on the chair. You also had a long brawl in the seats including Lawler bumping down steps. Finish was beyond shitty though, which drops this below your Lawler classics. Ref gets bumped and Lawler gets hit with knucks, Fuller comes in with a ref shirt and they do a long thing with Fuller explain why his pin count should be official, just slows the match to the crawl. Still something to consider for an erratta set, but not the classic it could have been.

Did you ever watch this stuff?
November 9, 200915 yr comment_5445720 No, but it's in the "to be converted" pile next to my TV so probably soon.
April 12, 201015 yr comment_5449431 Jerry Lawler/Sweet Brown Sugar v. Bobby Eaton/Sabu 1/17/83 Better then the other two nominated Memphis Erratta matches, wild brawl with both heels bumping all over the ring into tables, chairs chucked at their heads ect. Was pretty one sided as the face team was barely in trouble, but this was classic Memphis insanity and should definitely make an Erratta set.
April 12, 201015 yr comment_5449434 Dutch Mantel v. Bill Dundee- Scaffold match 5/16/83 I know Bix didn't love this, but I thought it was pretty great. Dundee was awesome here, I loved how he sold the powder to the eyes wobbling on the scaffold like he was going to fall off, all of his crazy climbing on the side to avoid Dutch was pretty cool too. I would have liked to see a bigger bump on the finish, but Dundee whipping the shit out of Mantel to make him fall is a great ending.
May 2, 201015 yr comment_5450299 Jerry Lawler v. Tommy Rich- 12/29/86 This is a long bloody match with both guys pounding the holy shit out of each other. We get 20 or so minutes of a 26 minute match, and it is really wild. They stop the match because of blood and Tommy bleeds enough to make you buy it. Errata lock, and a match which could make a final list
May 2, 201015 yr Author comment_5450303 Phil, can you repost your Memphis recommendations inside the Memphis Errata folder. Let me know what disc they are on. I may know now but will have no clue in 4 years when this set is being worked on.
