Posted December 12, 200717 yr comment_5425108 Butch Miller & Luke Williams vs. Buddy Rose & Ed Wiskowski (2/3/ Falls) (7/5/80) - The first fall was back and forth with the typical great Buddy Rose stuff. Miller gets the pin after a couple of elbows. The 2nd fall has the heels making short work of Williams after a Wiskowski diving headbutt. 3rd fall picks up where the 2nd onoe left off. Williams is getting his ass beat until a mis-timed knee from Rose hits Ed instead of Luke. 3rd fall saw Rose nearly beat but Wiskowski gets DQed bringing a chair in kicking the ref. This match wasn't as good as previous tags (Ed relied heavily on the chinlock) but probably still worth a look. The post-match interview with Miller is must-see though. Nomination. (Lynch Vol. 3)
August 8, 201015 yr comment_5454131 I thought this was a solid tag. The 1st fall being really good. I didn't feel the last 2 falls though. Still it's worth a look, but I would vote no. Now the post match has got to go on as an extra. That was superheated and bad ass.
April 1, 201114 yr comment_5468832 The first fall was really good, a well-executed Southern tag unto itself. I liked the theme of Rose and Wiskowski making sure that Butch was never available for the hot tag when Luke staggered over (unless it was Luke unavailable and Butch staggering ... aww, whatever.) But the match really went to hell after that. Wiskowski rapidly drained my interest with those second-fall chinlocks and the third fall ended pretty abruptly without producing a spectacular moment to get me back. This is a clear no vote.
July 10, 201213 yr comment_5509785 The camera angle on Wiskowski's Buddy Bump in the first fall was fucking great and the heels were running scared and flying around left and right in the beginning. The first fall here really was good Southern tag stuff as you've got some nasty stomps and cutting off the ring goodness from the heels, who also throw cheapshots at the man on the apron, making the hot tag completely impossible on several occasions. Buddy even does that weird splash to the back of opponents head spot that I love. The hot tag was well done and the big bumps made the finish to it seem really believable. I didn't hate the second fall, but it was a big let down from the first and was pretty nothing doing. Third fall was about like the second in that it was nothing doing but not offensive. This is the sort of match where if we had 95 matches and we needed five to get to a hundred I would consider it, but it's not something I feel compelled to sign on for until or unless we reach that point. Post-match rules though and should be an EXTRA
