Posted December 12, 200717 yr comment_5425117 WWWA Tag Team titles: JB Angels vs. Crush Girls Another awesome match with lots of energy and fast pace, but definitely feels more like an epic main event. The first fall alone is probably a top 25 match. Chig/Yamazaki is the pair to watch here. Amazing how this group's top stars were being influenced by everything from the US heavyweight style to lucha libre to the UWF style to the Choshu-style doubleteam moves. They pull it all together and create a hell of a match. Another likely top 10 pick.
January 4, 201114 yr comment_5461497 The atmosphere for this match was amazing. Agree with Loss that it's a top 10 pick. The best thing about the match is the attitude. The Crush Girls weren't the cute idol babyface team anymore; they were the Queen Bitches from Hell. And the JB Angels, though they enjoyed precious little support from the crowd, were in no mood to give up their titles. Tremendous fight this with all four women trying to deliver the killer blow. Some really fantastic exchanges on the mat and in stand-up, and some really awesome Giant Swings. Everybody talks about Yamazaki, but I always dug Tateno and she plays her role well here. One of Asuka's stronger performances, too. Great match. This aired in full on AJW Classics.
