Alot of stalling early on but when Piper gets Flair in the corner, he just unloads with some great shots. Piper played heel-in-peril for awhile and Robertson catches him with a beautiful cross-body from the 2nd rope. The end stretch is just great give and take between Flair and the heels. However, Robertson dropkicks Flair on top of Snuka for the pin. Great match and definite nomination.
September 8, 200817 yr comment_5434430 Yeah this was really fun, I loved Flair catching Pipers knee drop and turing into a figure four. Piper was an amusing bump freak too. I prefer Link to Dewey though. Nomination for sure
April 13, 201312 yr comment_5541992 No DQ Match: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair & Dewey Robertson vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (5/4/81) Piper & Snuka teaming together is a hoot and they spend the early portion of this trying to stay away from Flair but they would catch him and then doubled him up in their corner. Flair would get the hot tag to Dewey who would hit some big slams as the crowd goes nuts then works over Piper. Dewey would eventually get caught though and was controlled by the heels for a good bit before getting the hot tag to Flair who runs wild on Snuka. Flair would get caught again though but Dewey would dropkick his back as Snuka had him for a slam to get the win. Very fun TV match and I'll push this forward.
July 17, 201411 yr comment_5613160 This feels like a solid nomination. They work a different formula, but it works none the less. It starts out with a FIP, goes to a shine, another FIP, shine, and finish. The drama is done really well here. Flair is oozing charisma. Him and Piper are feuding at this point and everytime they lock up the crowd erupts. Flair is a more athletic worker here where we see a cross body block, and a drop kick. Piper is super agressive and works hard. Robertson shows some athleticism here. They really build to a great finish.
