June 17, 201312 yr comment_5548184 This starts with a promo from Jim Nelson about his match with Nick DeCarlo at MLG on 1/9/83. Always funny seeing the future Boris Zuhkov talking in his regular Southern drawl. NWA World TV Title: Jos LeDuc © vs. Jack Brisco (10/27/82) Interesting matchup here. Jack is dominant early using holds and working over Jos' back but LeDuc makes a comeback using his power moves to get the advantage on Jack. Jack is fun on his comeback taking it to LeDuc before locking on the abdominal stretch which brings Paul Jones to ringside and in the ring for a DQ. Next we get a promo from Kernodle & Slaughter with their NWA World Tag Titles calling out all the tag teams before Greg Valentine comes out with a drawing of Steamer & Youngblood some fan had given them and of course they ripped it up. Then they ripped up the feathers and flowers while cackling. Extra material. Bob Orton Jr. & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Masa Fuchi & Joe Lauren (12/15/82) Joe Lauren is the future Road Warrior Animal who looks like a New Japan rookie in his short black tights and boots not to mention his head full of hair. Then we get a promo from Sgt. Slaughter wearing a CAMO SUIT JACKET who is confronted by Piper then Steamer & Youngblood. Piper is insane here before Jay chops the hell out of Sarge who cowers away. Good stuff here especially with Piper shaking hands with Steamer burying the hatchet. Extra material. Next we get Vince McMahon talking up the WWF matches on the MLG card on 1/9/83 with promos from Ray Stevens, Buddy Rogers, & Jimmy Snuka. Then we get promos from Piper about his match with Flair at MLG on 2/20/83 that Piper didn't work but Terry Funk subbed for him instead. Piper is totally nuts here. Flair sends in a retort promo with Gordon Solie in Florida. Next we get clips of a Bulldog Bob Brown/Moose Morowski cage match from Vancouver for some reason. Then we get another Piper promo with clips of him beating on Flair. Next we get a promo from Sir Oliver Humperdink with clips of his guys destroying Jimmy Valiant who cuts a promo in retort. Then we get another Piper promo for a match that he actually has with Flair on 4/10/83 at MLG. Next we get clips of a Dory Jr. beating Jack for the Mid-Atlantic title on 1/30/83 in Charlotte. Then we get a promo from Greg valentine about the MLG show on 5/15/83. Canadian TV Title: Private Jim Nelson © vs. Terry Kay (April 1983) Crappy match that goes to a crappy DQ because Nelson won't break from the ropes on a 5 count. Next we get a promo from Piper about another match with Flair at MLG but this time it's Flair that doesn't show up and Piper takes on Terry Funk on 5/15/83. Piper talking about the drugged out losers in Toronto was AWESOME. Extra material. Then we get another Piper promo explaining why he didn't make his match with Flair on 2/20/83 at MLG and how he was a product of a conspiracy. Extra material. Next we get a promo from TIGER JEET SINGH about making his return to MLG on 3/27/83. Then we get the contract signing for the Kernodle/Slaughter vs. Steamer/Youngblood cage match that aired around the loop because they did it in every big town even though this was mainly for Greensboro. Next we get a promo from Jim Nelson about his match with Sweet Brown Sugar on 4/10/83 at MLG with Nelson calling him "rubber lips" and said that Sugar would be shining shoes when it was over then we get a promo in retort from Sugar. Then we get a Jimmy Valiant video. Next we get a bodyslam challenge with Dizzy Hogan (Beefcake) trying to slam One Man Gang for $5,000 and he fails so Valiant jumps in and tries but he can't do it so he demands that his music plays and he has Gang up but Humperdink pushes him over and Gang splashes him before leaving. Then we get another Piper promo. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs. Dizzy Hogan (2/23/83) This is JIP. Next we get a promo from Humperdink & Gang about their match with Tony Parisi & Valiant at MLG on 4/10/83. Then we get clips of Andre vs. Swede Hanson on WWF TV. Next we get another promo from Piper about walking around the streets of Toronto being a bad man. Extra material. Mike Rotundo vs. The Intelligent Sensational Destroyer (April 1983) Yeah this had some clipping but it was fun watching heel Destroyer. Then we get another Piper promo. Next we get clips of Windham/Jake from Florida. Then we get a promo from The Executioner. Next we get a Muraco/Rocky Johnson match from WWF TV. Then we get a promo from Gary Hart with Kabuki. Next we get an old clip from PM Magazine with Ric Flair demonstrating how to use the figure-four leglock. This was taped in 1980 and Flair said on this that he planned on retiring in 4 years......... Terry Funk then sends in a taped promo talking about being half Canadian and how he doesn't care about Piper or Flair. This is so great. Definite extra. Then we get a promo from Rocky Johnson & Vince.
