Posted December 16, 200717 yr comment_5425349 Nikita Koloff & Steve Williams vs. The Sheepherders - Does anyone know the backstory on why Doc and Nikita are tagging? Shit, I am going to come out and say it... this match is much better than the Fans-Sheeps match from Clash II. I think it comes down to matchups. In the Fans matches, the Sheeps are supposed to be the aggressors. However, in this matchup, Doc and Nikita are clearly the stronger duo so when the Sheeps get an advantage, they attack like wolves because if they don't, they get their asses handed to them. There is actually a sense of desparation on the heel side. Also, the Nikita FIP section was pretty damn good with some good Sheeps offense and false hope spots. The ending came out of nowhere but was pretty cool as well. Thumbs up from me and a nomination.
February 28, 200817 yr comment_5428775 These teams matched up really surprisingly well, especially given the match went pretty long at 17+ minutesl. I like all four guys but I did not expect this to be so good. The faces sold really well in their respective FIP segments while maintaining their aura, Doc's Superman comeback was a lot of fun, and the Sheepherders both brought their A-games, even breaking out big moves like the diving headbutt (one from the second rope that was on the safer side of that move and a swandive from the top rope). Plus you add Doc's ridiculous ponytailed mullet thing and you get some really enjoyable tag team professional wrestling. Definitely worth a nomination.

December 11, 20159 yr comment_5714649 "The Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) Gotta love Doc with his Oklahoma jersey on backwards. The fans are yet again pumped up which has pumped up the babyfaces who look very strong early on. The Sheeps were very fun here working as the stooging bumping heels for the powerhouses on the other side and they make Nikita/Doc look amazing. Doc's cross body block off the top rope for the nearfall was impressive as hell and like I said this whole babyface control section was a blast. The dominance would finally end when Doc missed a running shoulderblock into the corner and the Sheeps started feverishly working over his left arm. Doc though would break free and got the tag to Nikita who runs wild until Rip Morgan took Nikita down leading up to some hard ass knees by Luke in Nikita's ribs. Nikita then goes the floor where he gets punished by everyone until Doc runs them off and Nikita is doing a terrific job of selling this. The crowd is red hot for Nikita trying to get the hot tag and the Sheeps are so good at keeping him away using their entire bodies as weapons. Doc also does a really good job of working the corner getting Nikita motivated for his hope spots. As Nikita would have a chance to tag Doc, Rip Morgan attacked him on the floor which got Doc's attention so Nikita couldn't tag him. Nikita would get the tag though after Luke missed a big diving body press off the top rope and Doc ran wild on the Sheeps & Morgan who was in the ring but Butch would clip Doc's leg from behind to stop the rampage. Nikita would get tagged back in the ring and he just destroyed Luke with a Russian Sickle to get the win out of nowhere. This was a really strong match I thought and is a solid nomination.
