The MX hit the Rocket Launcher but Eaton gets cracked on the head with Paul E.'s phone so the SST score the win. In a set that has such strong tag matches, I don't know think this will go very far so no nomination from me. The Great Muta vs. Steven Casey - This was mainly a Muta showcase where he shows off his new moves. I can't believe this company didn't do more with Muta. Junkyard Dog vs. Butch Reed - Sad to watch. In this building in Mid South, these two probably tore it up. 5 years after the Ghetto Street Fight and how the mighty have fallen. Bob Orton vs. Dick Murdoch - This lasted about 10 minutes but it was a long ten minutes when no one in the crowd cares. Orton wins when Gary Hart trips Murdoch on a brainbuster and then holds his feet. Mike Rotunda & Steve Williams vs. The Road Warriors - This didn't feel like one of the NWA's best matches but the Roadies lose after Dr. Death rolls up Hawk. Right before this, Animal pushed Teddy Long out of the way to set up Rotunda for the Doomsday Device. Long refused to count but counted fast for the Doc roll-up. Road Warriors Interview Iron Sheik vs. Ranger Ross - No Ric Flair Interview Eddie Gilbert & Rick Steiner vs. Danny Spivey & Kevin Sullivan - Lasted like 3 minutes. Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat - This is my 2nd favorite Steamboat-Flair matchup from the "trilogy". This goes back to the point I was talking about earlier with 2/3 falls matchs. Each match feels like a different match even though you build on what you did before. It also makes the time go by faster when you think you are watching 3 matches instead of just one match. Of course this is an easy nomination and must be included on the set.
