I am not voting for this. Ranger Ross beat The Terrorist (Doug Gilbert) (1:25). The Ding Dongs vs. Cougar Jay & George South - I am tempted to make this an EXTRA. The Midnight Express vs. Samoan Swat Team - Not at the caliber of the previous Clash match. Terry Gordy vs. Steve Williams - You would think that having these 2 guys on a show would deserve more than 6 minutes. Still, this is Doc-Gordy and it is pretty freaking good for the time it is given. This ends up outside and both guys are counted out. This is a step below their UWF stuff and not enough for a nomination. Norman the Lunatic vs. Mike Justice - Squash Freebirds Interview Brian Pillman Workout Video Mike Rotunda & Kevin Sullivan vs. Rick & Scott Steiner - Another solid tag match. Sting vs. Bill Irwin - No Ric Flair Interview (EXTRA) - Sit down interview with Jim Ross. The Freebirds vs. Midnight Express - Paul E. knocked out Jim Cornette before the match and the Dudes help him to the back. This was a really good tag match with the MX looking real sharp. later in the match, Eaton plays face in peril and you get the idea that if he was a face earlier in his career, he could have gathered as much sympathy as Ricky Morton. It also helps that when he gets thrown out of the ring, he lands directly on the guard rail. The ending looked a little sloppy as guys were tentative on what to do but Terry Gordy comes into the ring and gives a power bomb to Lane and the Birds are the new tag champs. I really enjoyed this and give it a nomination. Ricky Steamboat vs. Terry Funk - This was a nice bix of brawling and wrestling with Funk unloading with his punches and Steamboat not afraid to go outside and brawl with Funk. In one spot, Steamboat has Funk in a bodyslam position and just bodyslams him from the ring to the outside. What I really appreciate is that both guys kept the over-selling and comedy to a minimum. After Steamboat was piledriven on the outside, you thought it would end in countout or be over at that point but these guys continued with some great back and forth action until Funk gets Dqed for whacking Steamboat over the head with a microphone. The post-match was pretty great with Lex Luger coming to "save" Steamboat only to attack Steamboat. Easy nomination and a great match. Jim Ross Interview with army guy - Ross is sweating like a pig. There was no AC in the building and if people weren't leaving through the night then they were taking off their shirts.
