Posted December 16, 200717 yr comment_5425362 The Freebirds vs. Midnight Express - Paul E. knocked out Jim Cornette before the match and the Dudes help him to the back. This was a really good tag match with the MX looking real sharp. later in the match, Eaton plays face in peril and you get the idea that if he was a face earlier in his career, he could have gathered as much sympathy as Ricky Morton. It also helps that when he gets thrown out of the ring, he lands directly on the guard rail. The ending looked a little sloppy as guys were tentative on what to do but Terry Gordy comes into the ring and gives a power bomb to Lane and the Birds are the new tag champs. I really enjoyed this and give it a nomination.

August 7, 201411 yr comment_5617725 I'm on the fence on this . I'll give it a low end nomination for now, but could see it getting kicked off rather easily. I thought this was a total carry job by Bobby Eaton. Hayes and Garvin offered very little here. Lane had some moments like the. 1st minute. Eaton though was just superb. In bringing to the Birds and his selling was great, mixed in with some great bumps. I don't think I'd ever invite the Birds to troops appreciation days. It looked like the troops at Fort Bragg wanted to kill them.
