Posted December 16, 200717 yr comment_5425364 Steel Cage Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Title: “Nature Boy” Ric Flair © vs. “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes (7/26/86) We are at the Greensboro Coliseum on the Great American Bash tour. This is just an awesome match between two guys who could have great matches against each other in their sleep. The cage just added to the drama with the extra blood and violence and the spots involving the cage to make their formula more special. Flair gets a lot of offense early on and of course Dusty makes his big comeback with Flair selling his ass off. Dusty getting the clean win with a small package raised the roof off the Coliseum as he had finally won the gold avenging all the beatings he had suffered from the Horsemen. This was an awesome match and an easy nomination.
August 16, 201411 yr comment_5619344 I 'll give this a low end nomination. The title change to me keeps it as a nomination. I thought Dusty's opening shine was kinda lack luster. He works the arm a bit, but not very interesting. Flair starts to get his heat and busts Dusty open. This is much more interesting than the shine . Still the work is pretty methodical. Dusty goes for his comeback and does so nice payback spots. Overall, nothing really stood out to me.
