Posted December 16, 200717 yr comment_5425371 Road Warriors vs. Samoan Swat Team - This was pretty good with some good moves from both teams. Not quite a nomination. Tom Zenk vs. Cuban Assassin - Not much of a match. Zenk wins with the sleeper. Ric Flair Day in South Carolina (EXTRA) Sid Vicious vs. Ranger Ross - Squash Robin Green & Missy Hyatt go shopping. Freebirds Interview The Freebirds vs. Rick & Scott Steiner - This was another really good match withthe Steiners breaking out the high-end offense and being stiff as hell. The Freebirds give as good as they get and throw it right back at them. Great ending as Scott comes off the ropes, appears to stumble and heads right into a Michael Jayes DDT. It turns out, he was tripped by either Robin Green or Missy Hyatt. I don't know how far this would go but it deserves to be considered. Nomination. Brian Pillman vs. Norman the Lunatic - Really short match but Pillman looked good. Gary Hart Interview Steve Williams vs. Mike Rotunda - Battle of ex-tag team partners. Doc looked real good early on but Rotuna changes the momentum with an AWESOME looking counter clothesline. Rotunda stays in control and works on the neck and head of Doc. Doc makes his comeback with a great slam from the top rope. Damn, both guys are on in this one. It feels like it could have gone another ten minutes the way these guys were going but this is another match I think deserves at least to be seen. Nomination. Lex Luger Interview Lex Luger vs. Tommy Rich - Very similar to the Power Hour match but this one is better with more action in between control segments. Really hot ending with both guys throwing everything at each other. Rich hooks on the sleeper when Luger is on the outside of the apron but LUger drops Rich with a stun gun for the win. Great match and another nomination. Gary Hart Interview Terry Funk Hospital Promo (EXTRA) Ric Flair & Sting Interview Sting & Ric Flair beat Dick Slater & The Great Muta - Early on, this is pretty great once Slater and Flair come in. For example, Flair does the Flair Flip corner run, and as he runs into Muta, he chops him off the apron and then hits Slater from the top rope. To retaliate, Muta comes in with a sweet kick that drops Flair to the outside. Flair and Sting stay in control with constant tags until Muta rakes Flair's eyes. The Flair face in peril section was also pretty good as Muta and Slater abuse Flair until Flair counters a nerve hold with a manhattan drop. It looks like Sting has the match wrapped up until Hart nails him with a roll of coins and Sting plays FIP. Hot ending as both teams go back and forth until Terry Funk runs tothe ring and tries to kill Flair with a plastic bag over his head. This is an easy nomination and a great tag match with an awesome angle to set up Clash IX.
