Tully Blanchard vs. Tony Zane

Jimmy Garvin Interview

Ric Flair & Baby Doll Interview

Jim Cornette Interview

- Nothing here

Ron Garvin vs. Black Bart

- This wasn't one of thier better matchups. I think dull would be the best word to describe it. It picks up in the end and garvin wins the Mid Atlantic championship. After the match, Garvin is attacked by Russians and they give him a Flying Sickle. Anyway, Garvin had some nice stuff but Bart was really off his game here, resorting to restholds. No vote from me.

Midnight Express vs. Tony Zane & ???

Russians Interview

Ric Flair & Baby Doll Interview

Rock N Roll Express vs. ???

Ric Flair & Baby Doll Interview

Road Warriors vs. Darrin Evans & Art Pritts

Road Warriors Interview

Tully Blanchard Interview

- Nothing here.

Ole & Arn Anderson vs. Kansas Jayhawks

- Nondescript arm work and arm bars by the Jayhawks. Except for Jaggers, I have seen all of these guys do vicious things in the ring but this was really vanilla. Even the studio crowd was pretty dead for this. No vote.

Russians Interview

Wahoo McDaniel Interview

Nikita Koloff vs. Randy Barber

Wahoo and Ivan agree to merge U.S. title and National title (EXTRA)

Jimmy Garvin & Tully Blanchard vs. ???

Rock N Roll Express Interview

Sam Houston Interview

Midnight Express Interview

- Good MX interview. Not much else

Disc 3

Russians Interview

Buddy Landell vs. Italian Stallion

- Pretty good 5 minute match but not a vote.

Magnum TA - Precious Confrontation

- this Garvin-Magnum feud wasn't very exiting.

Misty Blue vs. Linda Dallas

Dusty Rhodes Interview

Dusty Rhodes vs. Arn Anderson (JIP)

- I have this complete on a Pro episode. Dusty wins the TV title.

Dusty Rhodes Interview

Jimmy Garvin Interview

Midnight Express vs. Kansas Jayhawks

- Much better match early on than the Arn/Ole match. Eaton and Condrey just seem much more excited to be in the ring than the Andersons did in the studio match. It also helps that the crowd was pretty hot for this and both teams responded. Solid tag match that ended in an MX DQ when Big Bubba gave Bobby Jaggers two giant splashes. Nomination.

Ric Flair & Baby Doll Interview

Rock N Roll Express & Wahoo McDaniel vs. The Russians (cut off )

- Damn, incomplete match.

Magnum TA Interview

The Russians vs. Gene Ligon & George South

Ric Flair Interview

Wahoo McDaniel vs. Pablo Crenshaw

Bill Dundee & Buddy Landell Interview (Pretty good interview calling out Rhodes and Magnum)

Rock N Roll Express vs. ???

Dick Murdoch Interview

Jim Cornette - Paul Ellering Confrontation

Road Warriors vs. Vernon Deaton & Mike Simani ( The MX attack!)

- Definite EXTRA that leads to the Starrcade match.

Championship Wrestling 9/6/86

This starts with a Roadies promo JIP.

Baron Von Raschke vs. David Spencer (8/30/86)

Total squash with Baron winning with the Iron Claw.

Wahoo is out next with his newly won National Heavyweight Title and he said that he has leverage now with Flair and that guys must beat him now to get to Flair.

Cornette then is joined by Dundee & Landell who talk about how no one wants to face them but they are going to be in the US Tag Titles tournament and teams must face them now. Shame Budro would be quitting soon.

The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantell) vs. Johnnie Cook & Mike Rose (8/30/86)

Jayhawks look good yet again and Cornette rips them on commentary.

Ronnie Garvin is out next and he said that he knows now that he can beat Nikita Koloff since he KOed him.

Todd Champion & Sam Houston vs. Vernon Deaton & Tony Zane (8/30/86)

It was good to have matches like this to showcase your young low midcarders instead of having them squashed all the time.

The Russians join Cornette next talking yet again about their goal being they hold all the US Titles.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Randy Barber & Mike Jackson (8/30/86)

Impressive win for the RnR.

Flair & Baby Doll are out next for a promo talking about how great he and Doll are.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Jack Weathers (8/30/86)

Mr. Torture is back and he just destroys this guy.

America's Team comes out next and they talk about wanting to be in the US Tag Titles tournament. Dusty then said that was a nice looking Filipino woman Tony had in Los Angeles. Hilarious.

RnR are out next for a promo and they say that they are ready for all challenges for their titles.

"Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Alan Martin (8/30/86)

Murdoch toys with Martin before putting him away with the Brainbuster.

Cornette then closes the show with a promo with Bubba behind him about how he is still coming for Dusty.

NWA Pro Wrestling 9/6/86

Wahoo starts the show talking about winning the National Heavyweight Title and he would defend against all challengers.

Tully Blanchard vs. Tony Zane (9/2/86)

Tully is pissed about not being champ anymore and takes it out on Zane.

Garvin & Precious are out next talking about America's Team and he demanded Magnum come out so he can slap him in the face. Garvin then said that Dusty was really his stepfather.

Flair & Baby Doll are out with Caudle next talking about everyone in the promotion that doesn't have titles then mentions the list of champions and how great JCP is. Flair then talks about Landell being the "Wild Mouse" which Flair says that tells the story.

Cornette then tells Caudle that the MX will be in the US Tag Titles tournament and would come out on top.

Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title: Black Bart © vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (9/2/86)

Bart starts off beating on Garvin which fired Garvin up so he started throwing bombs but Bart returned the fire and this is a slugfest early. Bart though then starts working over Garvin's left hand furiously until Garvin takes Bart down on the mat which was smart then started clubbing him. The match then turns into a back and forth battle on the mat with both men trying to stretch the other but Garvin is king of stretching and he just wrenches away on Bart's leg. Bart though gets it back to a slugfest again and it's really getting good as it's a total war of attrition. Bart would eventually miss the Texas Compactor and Garvin popped up then KOed Bart to win the title. Garvin celebrates after the match until the Russians run out to attack him where they triple up on him with Nikita hitting the Russian Sickle off the top rope. Magnun and the Jayhawks made the save as the Russians went to Cornette and then said they would destroy Garvin and everyone else. Great angle after the match and the match itself was very very good. This is a fairly easy nomination.

World Wide Wrestling 9/6/86

Cornette starts the show warning the Rnr & Dusty that his boys were coming for them.

Tully & Dillon are out next where they are avoiding the talk about losing the National Title and they want to be known as the men who caused Dusty to lose the NWA Title.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Vernon Deaton & Mark Fleming (9/2/86)

Total squash for the MX.

The Russians are out next talking about Ronnie Garvin with clips of them attacking Garvin after he beat Black Bart on NWA Pro.

Flair & Baby Doll are out next talking about how great everyone he hangs around with are and how everyone wants to be them.

The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantell) vs. Jack Jackson & Keith Patterson (9/2/86)

Another impressive win for the Jayhawks.

Next we get promos from Todd Champion & Sam Houston who basically talk about how they are heading to Central States.

Don Kernodle is out next for a promo talking about how he is looking for competition and titles. Denny Brown then joins him talking about how he won back the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title. He also talks about going to Central States.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Golden Terror (9/2/86)

Wahoo wins in seconds.

Dundee & Landell join Cornette next for a promo talking about how everyone is ducking them because they are the real men walking around the territory.

Shaska Whatley vs. George South (9/2/86)

Shaska wins fairly easily.

America's Team join Crockett next talking about how everyone wants them when they are standing right there. Dusty calls Dundee a "Gremlin" which was hilarious. Misty Blue then joins them for her debut and Dusty puts his arm around her of course.

Ivan & Nikita Koloff, & Krusher Khruschev vs. Hector Guerrero, Italian Stallion, & Rocky Kernodle (9/2/86)

Hector is on fire early on taking it to Ivan and the Greenville fans go nuts. Stallion also gets some offense in working over Krusher's left arm but Nikita tags in and the mood quickly changes. Ivan though tags back in and the faces get more offense in again until they trap Stallion in their corner so they can work him over. Stallion tags in Rocky though who runs wild until eating a Russian Sickle by Krusher which ends the match. Fun little TV match.

Ronnie Garvin joins Crockett next with his newly won Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title talking about his new feud with Nikita Koloff. Garvin said this isn't cartoon wrestling which was funny.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (9/2/86)

Mulkeymania is destroyed.

David has Todd Champion & Sam Houston back out for another promo talking about Central States yet again. Champion talks about the women again and how they are going to get lucky....

Baby Doll has The Warlord with her next and she is taking him around the world.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Rocky King (9/2/86)

Garvin toys with Rocky before putting him out with the Brainbuster. Garvin then grabs the mic and calls out Magnum TA to face him like a man in 30 seconds. Magnum comes out with Precious in his face then Garvin comes in for a brawl. Precious jumps on Magnum's back so he throws her off with Garvin following up with a knee to the floor then he posted him. Garvin then beat on the bloody Magnum some more before Dusty ran him off. Extra material.

World Championship Wrestling 9/6/86

"Superstar" Bill Dundee & "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Johnnie Cook & Rocky King (8/31/86)

Dundee & Budro take care of these guys with no problems.

Ivan & Nikita join Cornette next talking about how they have orders from the Kremlin to win all the US Titles and Nikita is the true #1 contender to Ric Flair.

America's Team are out next talking about wanting the US Tag Titles and Dusty said that the Minnesota Wrecking Crew better watch out.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin & "Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Brodie Chase & Alan Martin (8/31/86)

Garvin & Murdoch as a team is fucking awesome and they punish these guys then cut a promo with Tony after the match saying that they have teamed in the past so they know how work together as a team for the US Tag Titles tourney.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Lee Peak (8/31/86)

Wahoo just mauls Peak.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Ray Aaron & Phil Brown (8/31/86)

RnR take their time beating up these guys.

Flair & Baby Doll are out next for a promo where Flair shows off his shoes that he said cost more than some people's houses. Flair then talks about the Horsemen going on tour nationwide and Flair talks shit on everyone. Fun promo and extra material.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Darrin Evans & Art Pritts (8/31/86)

These jobbers are destroyed quickly and they join Tony after the match talking about wanting the US Tag Titles. Hawk is hilarious here talking about Zoo Atlanta and knocking out Willie B.

Tully & Dillon are out next talking about Dusty and that they aren't through with him yet.

The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantell) vs. The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) (8/31/86)

Now this is an interesting match for TV. Dutch & Arn have a fun exchange early on which made me want a singles match between them very bad. Jayhawks are very strong early on taking it to both Andersons and they have them in trouble. Arn takes some serious punishment but the Andersons would soon isolate Jaggers in their corner which gave them the chance they needed to get control. We get some patended Andersons arm work before a double head knocker allowed Jaggers to tag in Dutch who runs wild on Arn getting a nearfall. The 4-way brawl starts up with JJ throwing his shoe to Ole who uses it on Dutch for the DQ. They continue to beat on Jaggers until Dutch brings in Shoobaby. I dug this match a lot and I'm throwing it up as a low-end pick.

Ivan & Krusher are out next for a promo saying that they would be getting the US Tag Titles soon and they are going to own the country.

Wahoo is out next and he said that he is the true #1 contender for the NWA Title not Nikita.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Randy Barber (8/31/86)

Wahoo hangs around for commentary as Barber tries to fight Nikita and that backfired immediately. Nikita then mauled Barber and put him away with the Russian Sickle.

Jim Crockett then comes out and said that the NWA said that they would like a title unification match between Wahoo & Nikita but it was up to them. Wahoo said that he believes his title is better which brings out Ivan who said Nikita will sign the contract if Wahoo would do it. Wahoo then said that he isn't scared and agrees to the match. Extra material.

Tully Blanchard & "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Mike Rose & Henry Rutley (8/31/86)

Tully & Garvin make for an interesting team no doubt and it was interesting seeing a Horseman teaming with a non-Horseman. They work really well together and JJ mentions that he & Garvin have a past together which is cool. These jobbers get fucking destroyed especially Rose who pissed off Tully and he just maimed him. Both hit their finishers as well to win the match and this was a fun ass squash match.

The Warlord vs. Jack Weathers (8/31/86)

Warlord is a heel now since Baby Doll is with him and he squashes Weathers. Then we get a promo with them after the match and she said that she is taking Warlord to Central States so he can tear it apart.

Cornette comes back after being gone for a while saying that he has been on the phone for an hour with his mama who said that him being on announcing cost them the tag titles. Cornette said it was no one's fault that they lost the titles and he vowed to get the titles back for his mama.

Championship Wrestling 9/13/86

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Randy Barber & Paul Garner (9/7/86)

Very easy win for the MX with Cornette saying that he won't be co-hosting anymore because mama said so.

Garvin & Precious are out next talking about the deal with Magnum on World Wide the previous week where he busted him up and they show the clips.

The Thunderfeet I & II vs. Keith Patterson & Tony Zane (9/7/86)

THUNDERFOOT II!!!!!!!! in his TBS debut and the newly masked Gene Ligon works well here in this role.

Cornette & Bubba are out next whining about how the MX got hosed on last Sunday's TBS show thanks to Dusty and Cornette said that the MX are the true champions.

Dundee & Budro are out next talking about no one is accepting their challenges so they know that the US Tag Titles tournament is where they will find people. Dundee then brings up Brad Armstrong coming into the area looking for Landell and that they will take care of him easily.

Ole Anderson vs. Jack Jackson (9/7/86)

Ole brutalizes this guy.

Misty Blue comes out for her TBS debut talking about defending her title around the country.

Sam Houston vs. Gary Royal (9/7/86)

Royal is on TV for the first time in a long while and Houston looks good here against him.

Garvin & Precious come out yet again and he said that he wanted to whip Magnum on TV today but Magnum is too scared and Magnum doesn't come out.

Ronnie Garvin is out next with his Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title for the first time on TBS and he said that he would put his title on the line any time against anyone.

"Superstar" Bill Dundee & "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (9/7/86)

Mulkeymania is child's play for my boys here as they just destroy them with Landell hitting his standing dropkick on the floor.

RnR are out next with Tony talking about how they will defend against anybody at any time.

Sam Houston is out next talking about how his goal is to be the NWA Champion and one day he will achieve that goal.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Vernon Deaton (9/7/86)

Mr. Torture is in full effect as Deaton may as well been in an Eli Roth film.

Cornette is back out with his boys and he is on fire talking about how the MX are the rightful champions. Extra material.

World Wide Wrestling 9/13/86

Bob Caudle interviews the Russians to start the show talking about all of the tough competition that is coming for them now.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Italian Stallion (9/9/86)

Dundee in his ode to Bruce Lee from Game of Death attire at ringside is awesome. Stallion really gives it to Landell early on before a ref bump. Landell locks on the Figure-Four and Dundee comes off the top with the Bombs Away then rolls Young back in to make the count. I wasn't expecting that finish but it was fun.

Magnum is in the ring next and demands that Jimmy Garvin come out and face him like a man so Precious comes down and runs down Magnum before leaving. She said that Magnum needs his tights on if Jimmy comes down there and they walk off. Extra material.

Misty Blue vs. Linda Dallas (9/9/86)

Hey all we need now is Ron Jeremy and we will have a "Hellcats" reunion here. The usually molten hot Columbia, South Carolina crowd didn't know what to think of the women wrestling here at first but they got them into it especially Linda who was good at working heel.

Next we get promos from Garvin, Precious, Dillon for the 10/18 show in Philly.

Then we get clips of Dusty winning the NWA World TV Title from Arn on NWA Pro with Dusty talking about wanting Tully now.

Garvin & Precious join Caudle next talking about the deal with Magnum earlier with Precious saying that Magnum was scared to death.

The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantell) vs. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) (9/9/86)

So fun watching Eaton & Dutch work each other...it was like Memphis 1982 all over again. The Jayhawks are very strong early on as they have the MX flustered with everything they did. Dutch would miss a splash near the MX corner and this was what the MX needed as they would start working him over with quick tags being the key. Dutch would catch Dennis with a desperation clothesline as Dennis came off the top rope but even that didn't stop the MX as they kept up the pressure. Dutch though would eventually get the hot tag to Jaggers who came in taking it to both MX before Dutch joined the fun. Bubba would jump in the ring and he hit a big splash from the middle rope for the DQ then two more for good measure. Dutch then grabbed Shoobaby and Bubba walked away. Fun match with an angle'd up finish that kills it as a nomination.

Next we get promos from Garvin, Wahoo, Murdoch, RnR, & Magnum for the 10/18 show in Philly.

Flair & Baby Doll are out next talking about Flair's upcoming matches with Murdoch and how the Horsemen will get all their belts back.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel & The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Ivan & Nikita Koloff, & Krusher Khruschev (9/9/86)

I loved the stuff early where Wahoo was demanding Nikita and they went nose to nose with Wahoo just chopping the piss out of him. Wahoo then starts chopping everyone before the RnR joined the fun and of course this was the time when the credits started rolling which fucking sucked.

Championship Wrestling 9/20/86

This starts with Magnum TA saying that Garvin should leave Precious out of this or he might spank her.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev vs. Gene Ligon & George South (9/14/86)

South got a little offense early on but the Russians had no problems here.

Flair is out next without Baby Doll and said that even though Arn & Tully lost their titles, the Horsemen stand together through thick and thin and they continue being great no matter what. Extra material.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Pablo Crenshaw (9/14/86)

David Crockett announces on commentary that Paul Jones is bringing in Ravishing Rick Rude which was cool. Wahoo with another beating here.

Dundee & Landell are out with Tony next talking about the US Tag Titles tournament and Brad Armstrong. Dundee calls Dusty a fat boy which was hilarious.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Tom Barrett & Jack Jackson (9/14/86)

Easy win for the RnR.

Murdoch is out next talking about getting shots at Flair and how he is ready for all the Horsemen.

Cornette is out next saying that the MX are the true world champs and they want everyone especially the Roadies. Ellering shows up to confront Cornette who gets up in Ellering's face before he gets slapped.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Vernon Deaton & Mike Simani (9/14/86)

Roadies then proceed to kill the jobbers until Cornette whacks Ellering with the racquet and the MX run out. Eaton drops knees off the top on Animal as Hawk beats on Condrey on the floor until everyone leaves. This whole segment is extra material.

Crockett comes out and said that Animal's back was injured before the Russians come out and Nikita said that he doesn't care about the Roadies. Nikita then talks about everyone coming for him but they will all fall.

The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantell) vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (9/14/86)

Jayhawks squash Mulkeymania.

Crockett comes back out and they talk about what happened to Animal with clips to follow. Tony said the racquet was loaded which brought out Cornette who yelled and yelled saying that this is far from over. Extra material.
