Ricky Morton vs. Ole Anderson (WWW 10/11/86)

- This is pretty cool as both guys work each other over with rib shots. This is the kind of match I think Phil would mark out for as it consists of nothing but punches for most of the way. Hell, Ole even sells and bumps for Ricky. Ole gets Dqed for Arn interference but I was loving this. I don't think it would be the kind of match that would rank high but I was marking out and so was the hot crowd. Gotta include the Horsemen interview after the match.

Ivan Koloff & Khrusher Khruschev vs. Brad Armstrong & Tim Horner (WWW 11/1/86)

- This was really good early on since nobody plays heel-in-peril better than Ivan Koloff. Seriously, I don't know of anyone else in this set who lets the babyfaces shine more than Ivan. Pretty brutal spot where it looks like Horner was supposed to take a back body drop but ends up in a pancake and falls flat on his face. Horner's FIP section was more interesting than Armstrong's but alot of the credit goes to Ivan in both cases for knowing when to allow the hot tags and to create hope spots. It looked like the Lightning Express were going to win the match in the end but the time limit expires before the three count can be completed. Another nomination and Ivan rules.

Ivan loved letting the jobbers get a tad of offense in before taking them out.

Paul Jones is out next with Manny & Rude talking about how everyone has a price and Manny proved that.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Clement Fields & Alan Martin (10/5/86)

This is the first time Manny & Rude would team up on TV and a great team was born as they destroy these guys.

Tully & Dillon are out next talking about the beatdown of Murdoch the previous week and they talk about the Kansas City deal again talking about Dusty beating down Bulldog Bob Brown and he tells him to jump on him.

Brad Armstrong vs. Tony Zane (10/5/86)

Good spotlight match for the returning Brad and he joins Tony after the match saying that he wants some gold whether it's singles or tag.

Tully Blanchard vs. Bill Tabb (10/5/86)

Tully weakens the big man on the mat before putting him away with the Slingshot Suplex.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Kent Glover & Art Pritts (10/5/86)

This is a fun MX squash and Cornette was tremendous on commentary and then on the promo afterwards ripping up the Roadies.

Ronnie Garvin is out next with his Mid-Atlantic Title belt and he said that he has become a popular man since he got his belt because everyone wants gold but he wants more gold and calls out Flair. Garvin also wants to talk to the Bull saying something isn't right.

"White Lightning" Tim Horner vs. Randy Barber (10/5/86)

Barber talking shit to the fans was funny and then Horner would easily take care of him with the O'Connor Roll.

Brad comes back out in his street clothes with Tim joining him and he says that they are here to take care of business.

World Wide Wrestling 10/11/86

Tony & David announce that Robert Gibson has injured ribs again to start the show and we get clips of Dick Murdoch impersonating Flair on TBS which led to a brawl.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Gary Royal & Tony Zane (10/7/86)

MX just murder Zane here in less than a minute.

Wahoo is with Crockett next talking about losing his title unification match with Nikita but it had to take two men to beat him and he would be coming back for the US Title this time.

Jim Crockett comes out next saying that the Anderson won't be getting the NWA World Tag Titles if the RnR can't defend and they are allowing Morton to pick partners to defend with which brings out Morton who wanted one of the Andersons on TV later on.

Paul Jones is joined next by his newest charges Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude and we get clips of Manny turning on Valiant on 10/4 in Charlotte when he finally took the money and whacked Valiant with the briefcase leaving Valiant to be destroyed. Rude cuts a good promo in his WWW debut as well. Extra material.

Brad makes his WWW debut and hits a big missile dropkick off the top rope to win.

Next we get promos from Ivan, Garvin, Precious, Dillon, & Tully for the 10/18 show in Philly.

Then we get clips of the MX/Jayhawks brawl from the previous week's WWW as the lead up for the debut of the "Louisville Slugger" segment on WWW where Cornette interviews Ivan Koloff and congratulated him on winning the US Tag Titles with Krusher Khruschev.

Garvin wins in seconds as Magnum does commentary

The Andersons are out next talking about people wanting them especially Morton with Ole saying that he was taking him up on his challenge.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez, Baron Von Raschke, & "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Rocky Kernodle, Bill Mulkey, & Keith Patterson (10/7/86)

Rude was miscast in this role at the start working with Paul Jones' goon squad but soon he and Manny would be come amazing together. Baron showed some anger that he didn't get tagged in but nothing was happening yet.

Flair is out next talking about how great the Horsemen are and how everyone else should just find other employment.

"White Lightning" Tim Horner & Nelson Royal vs. Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard (10/7/86)

Horner looks really strong early on taking it to Horsemen with Nelson getting his shots in as well. Horner's nearfall on Arn with a backslide was really good because Arn's look of shock was great. Arn & Tully's bumping and selling here was so good too and the fans were really believing they could lose. JJ had to jump on the apron to save them and then Horner got tossed off the top rope to the floor for the DQ. Nelson ate a tough double Gourdbuster and got beat down until Brad ran out to make the save. This was a really fun segment.

Valiant comes out next and he's not using his serious voice and he wants another shot at Paul Jones' hair saying that he would put everything he has in his life for it. Extra material.

Ricky Morton vs. Ole Anderson (10/7/86)

Ole worked over Morton's ribs early but Morton came firing back working over Ole's left arm but Ole would overpower him and took control. Morton would come firing back though as Arn was losing it at ringside. Ole was a punching bag for Morton who was teeing off on him and this was becoming a total back and forth war with nothing fancy just two guys hammering each other. Arn would eventually have to run in for the DQ to save Ole and they tried to injure Morton with a double Gourdbuster until Dusty ran out to brawl with Ole. Arn rubs Morton's face on the concrete floor as Tully runs out to jump Dusty until Magnum in his last appearance on WWW before the wreck makes the save. Dillon & Horsemen then celebrate next saying that they were taking everyone out. The match itself was a blast until the finish and I think it is a low-end nomination.

During the match we get promos from Hector, Morton, Magnum for the 10/18 show in Philly.

World Championship Wrestling 10/11/86

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton vs. Paul Garner & Art Pritts (10/5/86)

This was a fairly quick squash.

Dusty is out next for a promo where he shows clips of him taking out Bob Brown in Kansas City. Dusty also buries Buddy Landell as he has left for the UWF. Dusty then talks about how today is his birthday and the fans start singing Happy Birthday to him which was awesome. Slam dunk extra.

Then we get a promo from Tully & Dillon about what Dusty just talked about earlier saying that him going to Kansas City to attack someone was silly which is hilarious. Then we get the whole Flair/Murdoch deal which is extra material.

Next we get a promo from Ivan who talks about Nikita & Krusher will be coming back very soon from Japan and that they will continue their domination of the United States.

Brad Armstrong vs. Randy Barber (10/5/86)

Another great showing for Brad.

Ronnie Garvin is out next talking about using the Mid-Atlantic Title as the stepping stone he needs to get the NWA Title and he will do it before the year is over. The original plan for Starrcade was Flair vs. Ronnie Garvin.

"White Lightning" Tim Horner vs. Bill Tabb (10/5/86)

The other half of the Lightning Express looks good in his squash match as well.

"Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Lee Peak (10/5/86)

Rude dominates Peak here before dropping him with his DDT and then Rude & Jones join Tony afterwards for a promo on Valiant and saying that Rude will be gaining gold soon. Manny would join them as well with the fans chanting TRAITOR at him.

Tully Blanchard vs. Tony Zane (10/5/86)

Dillon gets in Zane's face then gives him an atomic drop before the bell then Tully drops Zane with the Slingshot Suplex to win. That was hilarious.

The Lightning Express are out next for a promo talking about wanting all challenges and all titles.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. Kent Glover (10/5/86)

Bull just wastes this guy as Ronnie Garvin comes out wanting to talk to Manny face to face. Garvin wants to know his deal and Manny tells him to get out of his face before Jones & Rude attacks him from behind with Manny putting him down on the concrete. Extra material.

World Championship Wrestling Sunday Edition 10/12/86

Flair starts the show with a promo talking about Murdoch has signed his death certificate for messing with him and that Dusty & Magnum signed theirs for attacking Tully.

"Superstar" Bill Dundee vs. Mike Simani (10/12/86)

Dundee is now alone as Budro was in Tulsa that day working for Bill Watts. Dundee wins easily.

Valiant comes out next and he again tells Paul Jones that he would put everything in his life on the line against him for another hair match. Extra material.

RnR are out next for a promo with Gibson saying that he is glad to be back from his back injury and that they are coming for the Andersons.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (10/12/86)

Ragin & Ravishing are getting it together as a team and they just manhandle Mulkeymania. The heels then joined Tony after the match with Paul Jones directly talking about Valiant and he said that he was through with him as he had nothing else to take from him. Rude then talks about wanting titles and Bull wanting more money.

The Andersons are out next talking about Dusty injuring Tully the night before in Greensboro and they are planning on immediate revenge on him. Arn steps out here and said that he would be taking care of him on his own. Extra material.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Eddie Roberts & Alan West (10/12/86)

The Andersons are pissed and they destroy these guys.

Tully with a knee injury and on crutches is joined by Dillon for a promo about what happened the previous night in Greensboro. Dillon then talked about the cage match he had booked for the next Saturday in Charlotte where it was Ole & Tully vs. Dusty & Magnum where if Dusty lost he would be out of Starrcade. Well that match got changed in more ways than one. Then we get clips from Greensboro where Dusty destroyed Tully's knee with a steel chair and a Figure-Four Leglock with referees being thrown around, the MX running out, Magnum then following to hold them off and then he held Tully's knee down so Dusty could come off the top rope twice. This is a slam dunk extra.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. John Savage (10/12/86)

Savage tries but fails in his debut here.

Sherlock Cornette is out next looking for the Roadies and Bubba makes his return after being gone for a couple of weeks.

Magnum TA vs. The Grim Reaper (10/12/86)

Magnum's last match on TBS was against a masked jobber named The Grim Reaper......AMAZING.....This is a slam dunk extra.

Wahoo is out next for a promo talking about how he lost his National Title in the unification match but it took 2 men to beat him and he wants a rematch when Nikita comes back. Wahoo talks about Manny taking the money and he said that dirty money will send him down the wrong road.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Keith Patterson (10/12/86)

Jimmy comes in pissed and he nukes Patterson with a Brainbuster quickly.

Dick Murdoch comes out next for a promo about what happened the previous week with Flair and the Horsemen as well as all the other tough challengers in the area.

America's Team is out next for their last promo together on TBS and Dusty said that he isn't missing Starrcade and that Ole better have somebody ready for the cage match. Dusty said that he is out to hurt people and Magnum said that he would watch Dusty's back and he wants to finish off Garvin so he can his US Title back. Definite extra.

Brad Armstrong vs. Gary Royal (10/12/86)

Brad looks impressive yet again.

Ivan comes out next and said that The Lightning Express have no chance to take the US Tag Titles from him & Krusher and that Nikita & Krusher were coming back this week.

The Andersons come out to start the show talking about crippling Dusty and they will do it very soon.

Tony then talks about Magnum's car wreck and gives an address for everyone to write to.

Baron Von Raschke is out next for a promo where he said that his goal now is to destroy Paul Jones' Army.

Garvin & Precious are out next talking about how he has no opponent for Starrcade and he is curious about who he would be facing. He then challenged David & Tony to face him.

Wahoo toys with Savage then chops the hell out of him.

Valiant is out next talking about Big Mama putting her hair on the line up against Paul Jones' at Starrcade and he isn't letting her get shaved.

Babyface Baron is here and that was always a hoot.

Flair who was supposed to be in Japan is but didn't leave because of the Magnum deal and said that he has an open contract for Starrcade to wrestle anyone that wants it.

Mulkeymania gets destroyed yet again and Arn is a beast here.

Manny makes quick work of Peak.

Paul Jones is joined by Manny & Rude talking about Baron's comments earlier and that he wants his boys to win the NWA World Tag Titles. Jones then talks about he would never lose his hair to Valiant. Manny then calls out Wahoo telling him to bring it.

Ronnie Garvin starts the show and says yet again that he wants Ric Flair at Starrcade.

Brad Armstrong vs. Gary Royal (10/21/86)

Brad hits a big missile dropkick on Royal to win in like 30 seconds.

David Crockett then shows a taped promo from Magnum's mother with Tony Schiavone and she said that Magnum is doing better by the day and she thanked the fans for all of their love they have given the family. This is a slam dunk extra.

Tully & Dillon are out next with Tully without the crutches and they totally dropped the leg angle after Magnum's wreck. Dillon then shows what Dusty did to Dillon in Charlotte on 10/19 and they talk about a Dusty/Tully match at Starrcade. Dillon said that if Dusty doesn't sign then the Horsemen will boycott Starrcade.

Next we get clips of Nikita following Dusty in the cage in Charlotte to face off against Dillon & Ole and the fans go fucking nuts when Nikita starts beating hell out of Ole then Dillon. This is full insanity as The Super Powers are born. Flair & Tully coming down with Nikita & Flair yelling at each other is awesome. Then we get the promo from Dusty & Nikita at Techwood where Nikita talks about why he did what he did was for Magnum. Slam dunk extra if there ever was one.

Then we get the Starrcade Control Center featuring the Road Warriors comeback training video with both not wearing their facepaint. They also announce that their match with the MX at Starrcade will be on a scaffold with them climbing the scaffold and dropping a pumpkin. This is a tremendous video and a slam dunk extra.

Jim Crockett also announces that Dusty vs. Tully would be a First Blood match.

Next we get a promo from a crushed Ivan & Krusher talking about how they can't believe that Nikita would turn on his country and siding with Dusty Rhodes so they have disowned him and he must pay for his sins. Extra material.

Paul Jones is out next with Manny & Rude upset about Manny being in a cage above the ring at Starrcade but Rude said that he would be there and he won't let Paul get his head shaved.

The Horsemen are pissed about what Dusty did to JJ so they take it out on these guys by just beating the piss out of them.

Then we get The Louisville Slugger with Jim Cornette saying that he was going to unleash Big Bubba Rogers in the ring then talked about the Skywalkers match.

The show starts with David Crockett talking about Magnum doing better and better.

Brad Armstrong comes out next saying that he has watched Starrcade the past couple of years but he is excited to be part of it now.

Valiant comes out next for a promo about his match with Jones at Starrcade and he is excited about Jones finally taking his challenge.

Garvin wins with a Brainbuster in about a minute.

Jim Crockett comes out and said don't call the hospital where Magnum was but write your cards and letters and they gave an address.

Then we get the Starrcade Control Center again featuring the Road Warriors comeback training video with both not wearing their facepaint. They also announce that their match with the MX at Starrcade will be on a scaffold with them climbing the scaffold and dropping a pumpkin. This is a tremendous video and a slam dunk extra.

"Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Shaska Whatley (10/19/86)

Murdoch was really great here throwing punches in bunches working over Shaska's hard head with Shaska firing back with shots of his own. Shaska would slow it down working over Murdoch's right arm on the mat while using the ropes for leverage. Murdoch would make a comeback with all punches then dropped an elbow to win. Fun match but not enough for a nomination.

Tony has Baron with him next for a promo talking about how Paul Jones broke all of his promises to him then he brought in these new guys and that he quit taking it.

Paul Jones then comes out and talks about his match with Valiant at Starrcade along with the Baron & Wahoo situations.

Baron Von Raschke vs. Alan West (10/19/86)

Easy win for the Baron.

Brad & Tim are on fire to start the match throwing around the Russians from pillar to post but Brad would get isolated and the Russians started working him over. Brad was really good playing FIP before getting the hot tag to Horner who ran wild before the 4-way brawl. Brad's dropkick on Krusher was insane but Krusher raked Horner in the eyes after getting up and now Horner works FIP where he takes face first bumps on a backdrop and bodyslam and it looks like Horner broke his nose. Horner makes a fiery comeback after taking a lot of punishment before finally getting the hot tag to Brad who throws some awesome dropkicks getting a quick nearfall on Ivan as the foot was on the bottom rope also as the bell rings as the match went to a 20:00 draw. Tremendous timing of the nearfall at the end and this was a damn good match. Solid nomination.

Tony interviews Cornette & MX next about the Skywalkers match and Cornette isn't happy but he said his boys would finish the Roadies for good.

Then we get a promo from a crushed Ivan & Krusher talking about how they can't believe that Nikita would turn on his country and siding with Dusty Rhodes so they have disowned him and he must pay for his sins. Extra material.
