Ivan Koloff & Khrusher Khruschev vs. Brad Armstrong & Tim Horner (WWW 11/1/86)
- This was really good early on since nobody plays heel-in-peril better than Ivan Koloff. Seriously, I don't know of anyone else in this set who lets the babyfaces shine more than Ivan. Pretty brutal spot where it looks like Horner was supposed to take a back body drop but ends up in a pancake and falls flat on his face. Horner's FIP section was more interesting than Armstrong's but alot of the credit goes to Ivan in both cases for knowing when to allow the hot tags and to create hope spots. It looked like the Lightning Express were going to win the match in the end but the time limit expires before the three count can be completed. Another nomination and Ivan rules.

I'll give this a low end nomination. Ivan was great at really making the match. The more of Ivan I see the more of a great worker he becomes in my eyes. That fucked bump Horner took bloodied up his nose. It got sloppy for about 20 secs. Though they get it back and build to a fun draw. The timing was good. Ivan though with the psychology and bumping was really great.

US Tag Titles: Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev © vs. The Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong & Tim Horner) (10/19/86)

Brad & Tim are on fire to start the match throwing around the Russians from pillar to post but Brad would get isolated and the Russians started working him over. Brad was really good playing FIP before getting the hot tag to Horner who ran wild before the 4-way brawl. Brad's dropkick on Krusher was insane but Krusher raked Horner in the eyes after getting up and now Horner works FIP where he takes face first bumps on a backdrop and bodyslam and it looks like Horner broke his nose. Horner makes a fiery comeback after taking a lot of punishment before finally getting the hot tag to Brad who throws some awesome dropkicks getting a quick nearfall on Ivan as the foot was on the bottom rope also as the bell rings as the match went to a 20:00 draw. Tremendous timing of the nearfall at the end and this was a damn good match. Solid nomination.
