World Wide Wrestling 11/1/86

This starts with Dundee & Jimmy Garvin jumping Brad Armstrong after his match with John Savage.

Baron Von Raschke comes out next for a promo vowing revenge on the Paul Jones Army.

Next we get The Louisville Slugger with Cornette & Bubba talking about the Skywalkers match.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) & Big Bubba Rogers vs. Keith Patterson, Gary Royal, & Mike Simani (10/28/86)

MX & Bubba lay waste to these guys. Ronnie Garvin does commentary here and talks about how disappointed he was that he wasn't wrestling Flair at Starrcade and he wants a match on the show mentioning Bubba by name.

Then we get promos from the Jayhawks for the 11/29 show in Philly.

Tully Blanchard vs. Rocky Kernodle (10/28/86)

Rocky has a sound strategy to start the match working over Tully's bad right leg but a rake to the eyes by Dillon is the equalizer as Tully would get the Slingshot Suplx soon thereafter to win.

The Andersons join David Crockett next when Jim Crockett comes out with a contract for Starrcade against the RnR Express in a steel cage. They are hot about the gimmick but they want to destroy the RnR. Ole is especially great here. Extra material.

World Championship Wrestling Sunday Edition 11/2/86

RnR Express start the show with a promo excited about Starrcade.

Brad Armstrong vs. Alan West (11/2/86)

Brad looks strong here.

Next we get a taped promo from The Super Powers talking about their matches at Starrcade and this is good stuff. Extra material.

Arn is out next for a promo talking about the upcoming cage match at Starrcade with the RnR with clips of a brawl from World Wide.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev vs. Brodie Chase & Vernon Deaton (11/2/86)

Total squash and then they cut a promo afterwards about Nikita turning on Russia and their feud with the Jayhawks.

Brad comes out next for a promo talking about Jimmy Garvin and how he wants a match with him at Starrcade.

Tully Blanchard vs. Eddie Roberts (11/2/86)

Tully destroys this guy.

Easy win for the RnR.

Tully & Dillon are out next talking about the upcoming First Blood match with Dusty at Starrcade. Tully said that Dusty is his for the taking now.

Wahoo is out next for a promo with his Indian Strap talking about no one wants a match with him but he wants Rick Rude.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Pablo Crenshaw, Keith Patterson, & Gary Royal (11/2/86)

The heels run to the ring and they just destroy everyone.

Paul Jones is out next with Bull & Rude talking about the hair match at Starrcade as well as getting shots in on Wahoo as well.

Championship Wrestling 11/8/86

This starts with Brad & Wahoo joining Tony & David talking about their Starrcade matches being announced later on that night on WCW.

Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Gary Royal & Tony Zane (11/2/86)

Arn & Tully again look very good as a team foreshadowing the future.

Dundee, Jimmy Garvin, & Precious are out next with Dundee saying that the reason why he has hooked up with Garvin is that no one wants to wrestle them so they have a common bond.

"Superstar" Bill Dundee & "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Keith Patterson & Mike Simani (11/2/86)

Garvin was one of the many guys who suffered from the Magnum accident meanwhile Dundee suffered from Landell leaving for the UWF so they are put together here and they do look good as a team.

Tully & Dillon are out for a promo saying that Dusty is the TV champ so there is some pressure on them but they know that the Horsemen are always better.

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Pablo Crenshaw & Vernon Deaton (11/2/86)

WE WILL ROCK YOU makes it's debut and now we have Ragin & Ravishing complete. One of my all-time favorite short lived tag teams and they just maul these guys. Then we get a promo from the heels afterwards talking about Starrcade.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev vs. Brodie Chase & Eddie Roberts (11/2/86)

Easy win for the Russians.

Rude has no issues here.

Next we get a promo from Garvin & Precious about Starrcade.

The Louisville Slugger is next with Cornette talking about Starrcade.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Alan West (11/4/86)

Garvin KO's West in seconds then gets jumped by the MX & Bubba afterwards. They hold Garvin down so Bubba could come off the top rope a couple of times on him. This is extra material.

The Super Powers come out next for a promo and the fans go nuts for them especially Nikita who was so god damn over as a babyface here. Extra material.

Arn, Tully, & Dillon are out next talking about the last promo with Dillon saying that Nikita is going to turn on Dusty soon. Arn then talks about the RnR saying that the NWA World Tag Titles are coming to the Horsemen.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Vernon Deaton (11/4/86)

Vernon Deaton is still getting killed on TV every week.

RnR is out next with Caudle talking about their cage match with the Andersons at Starrcade and they wouldn't want it any other way.

Paul Jones & Rude then cut a promo next about Starrcade.

Caudle then interviewed the Kernodle brothers who are teaming up at Starrcade.

Tully Blanchard vs. Gary Royal (11/4/86)

Royal goes after Tully's bad left knee early on but that would backfire on him as Tully would drop to the floor where Dillon taped up Tully's fist and he just pounded Royal numerous times even getting juice which was wild for a squash match. Tully then hit the Slingshot Suplex to win.

Cornette and his boys are out next to gloat about their attack on Garvin and he thinks he won't be able to make Starrcade.

World Wide Wrestling 11/8/86

Ricky Lee Jones vs. Mike Simani (11/4/86)

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev vs. John Savage & Mike Simani (11/2/86)

Russians win this quickly.

The Super Powers are out next talking about Starrcade when Ivan yells out at Nikita for joining Dusty so Dusty goes to the ring and he gets in. Krusher jumps Dusty from behind and it's 2-on-1 with Nikita laying out Krusher with the Russian Sickle. Great stuff and a slam dunk extra.

RnR are out for a promo next talking about the Andersons and how they will come out on top at Starrcade. Morton talks shit to Arn throughout.

Arn Anderson vs. Eddie Roberts (11/2/86)

Arn takes out his aggresssion on Roberts killing in seconds.

"Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Randy Barber (11/9/86)

Barber has no chance here.

The Super Powers cut a promo next about Starrcade again with Dusty talking about the Super Powers will take care of business and he sent a shoutout to Magnum while Nikita told Flair that nobody cared about his cars or women. Extra material.

"Superstar" Bill DUndee vs. Lee Peak (11/9/86)

The fans chant WE WANT SAM at Dundee who gets pissed off and takes it out on Peak.

Tully & Dillon are out next with JJ talking about how he talked to both Bill Apter & George Napolitano that week which popped me as they asked for strategy. Tully then said that he was going to attack Dusty's scar tissue.
