Posted December 16, 200717 yr comment_5425406 Bob & Brad Armstrong vs. Garvin & Dundee (TV 11/29/86)- Impromptu challenge with Bullet Bob wearing jeans. Damn, Dundee has nice punches. I don't know if it is an illusion but Bullet Bob strieks and kicks seem much stiffer when in street clothes. The man is wrestling with dress shoes on. Great spot as Garvin is choking Brad on the top rope form the apron so Dundee lifts his legs and kicks him square in the nuts. Later, Brad would hit a sweet missile dropkick that sends Dudnee to the other side of the ring. This ends in a Double DQ but was enough for a nomination.(NWA TV 11/22 - 11/29 Disc 3)
August 15, 201411 yr comment_5619049 I'll give this a low end nomination . The interviews are a must. I agree Bullet strikes looked much more snug than usual. Brad looked great selling his ass off mixed in with his hope spots. Dundee was so great as the chicken shit heel. Plus Dundee was great at carrying the heat with the cheap shots . Garvin carried his end too, but Dundee was at another level .
April 6, 20169 yr comment_5739102 Bob & Brad Armstrong vs. "Superstar" Bill Dundee & "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin (11/29/86)This is nothing but a brawl at the start before it breaks down into a normal but heated match. Everyone was firing off some hard hitting shots here and I really dug the chaotic vibe you got at times. This wasn't your normal TV match as these guys exuded the hatred and the crowd was red hot for this. Dundee would spray Brad & Bob in the eyes but even that didn't put the Armstrong's away. Brad was so good at working FIP here taking lots of punishment before finally making a comeback with two great dropkicks for a nearfall. Bob & Garvin would come in and the 4-way brawl was too much for referee Scrappy McGowan who called for the bell. Bob & Brad then cut great promos afterwards. This was the best TV match they have had in the past couple of months and this moves forward fairly easily.
