I dunno if it's a

good idea to direct so much energy towards '86-'89 TV, at least at

first, since it's really a crapshoot just to see if there's any WMC,

FNN/Score, or Arena TV, when there's a big chance that it'll just be

comps of what we already have from Evansville.

 

I think the best bet to start is going after the Munari/Warburton

tapes from '84-'85, the '83 comps, the stuff labelled as '81-'82 Arena

footage, more complete '80-'82, and the un-dated hodgepodges.

 

Is there anything from the main list or NY section that might be worth

picking up? I have his '87 stuff from McAdam that has WMC footage.

Haven't checked, but I was thinking of buying from him instead of trading anyway given his wife's surgery/medical bills (see last update).

Steve's wife had surgery and she has been out of work for 6 months and their son just went to college so money has been really tight with him lately and he is offering deals for bulk buys to increase business.

He said that for the 28 tapes, it would be about 70 or 80 DVDs and gave me a quote of $340. I don't have that kind of coin right now to throw down as well as commit to a Lynch order. I may have to wait until donations roll in to order from Steve.

Yes, I have had additional sales but not enough for a $340 Friedlander order. I am not worried about it. I have the Lynch order placed. Once the Mid South set is sent and people receive, we'll star tthe Memphis donations thread. In the meantime, by Saturday, you will have 100 Memphis Evansville Feed discs and some other discs to tide you over in the meantime.

No need to. Before I released the set, I was running thin on cash but the momentum of the set release, the match discussion and dropping wrestler names has helped spur sales. However, I'll start purchasing Memphis with Memphis donations. Between Bix and myself, there are easily over 400 Memphis discs to go through BEFORE we start asking for donations. In the meantime, I will do what I do which is making deals for footage, hunting for good deals and networking. As mentioned to Bix, with Cornette hyped up for the Mid South set, there may be a small window to MAYBE getting some of his stuff. Not a slam dunk by any means but a small chance that was not there before.

Lawler-Kerry sounds like the match from the first AWA combined taping in '88, which we weren't sure about including in Memphis yet. We do need a more complete copy though, as we only have Khawk's which is JIP (though Vintage will be releasing his AWA TV '88 set with it soonish).

Dundee v. Koko scaffold we definitly need, Dean is looking for his copy, but who knows where it is
