OK, finally made enough to order the Friedlander Memphis that Bix came up with. The donations are moving far slower than Mid South so we will have to be careful with our Memphis choices. In fact, I made more in 2 days with Mid South than I have made period with Memphis. A large thanks goes to shoe who helped put the donations over the top in order to make the Friedlander order.

The '84-'85 stuff should certainly be a big help since there should be a bunch of arena stuff on there, I'm praying that his '81 arena is labelled right, and the '83 stuff will fill one of our bigger gaps.

Any update from Steve yet? Even if they're not done, I wanna know if there was anything he couldn't find but Dan has so he can send it to me with the stuff we definitely need.

He is working on them... will take him a long time.

Does he know if he's missing any or does he have them all set aside?

 

Should we consider switching the stuff Dan has for other discs we need from Steve like Portland (if Shoe was okay with it since it was largely due to his donation) or any Memphis we missed? We shouldn't ask Steve to cut the order w/ a partial refund right now given his recent financial issues but I figure we can compromise if Shoe is okay with it and get the ones Dan has faster.

I'll buy the Portland at a later date when I get Portland donations.

Should I see if I can dig up any other Memphis we might need (maybe in the NY lists) just so we can keep the option open?

With Steve, I don't want to change orders mid stream and get the wrong shit. If we need more Mempho, I'll request more for donations but if you can put together a list, that would be cool. Even if it means we have VQ options to choose from.

I just figure that if we can get some of it from Dan we should see if there's anything we can change in the order from Steve.

Nope. Steve just said it would take awhile. It took him a long time to get the Power Pros out to Dan as well so it will be awhile.

Steve said the package would be out by next Saturday. Phil, shoe, and Kris all have about 200 more discs to burn through so I'll start going thrugh the footage when it gets here to see if there is anything new and how the VQ holds up.

Steve said he couldn't find three of the 1985 tapes so I am going to pick some Portland instead for replacements.

I just got the stuff in from Steve. Some of this shit is unwatchable so I am going to get a discount next order but I don't know if I want to spend any more money on his unlisted stuff anymore.

Which stuff specifically is bad? I figured most of the '84-'85 stuff should be fine at least.

Memphis 1980 (3 discs) isn't worth looking at all. The thing is, he only listed the first disc as Poor VQ so I don't want to say all discs in a set are bad or only the first is bad based on his labels. Once I go through everything, I will let you know for the set and for trading purposes.

Lawler-Bockwinkel is from 11/8/82 where Lawler regains the Southern title in the program designed to show that he can beat Bockwinkel.

 

The other arena discs are mislabeled dupes of the '82-'83 and '83 arena stuff that we already have from RF and Lynch.

From what I've seen on the Munari/Warburton Memphis/TBS weekend tapes so far:

 

10/84 is the 9/29-9/30/84 stuff we already have in better VQ.

12/84 is a lesser VQ copy of the 12/1-12/2/84 in the same batch

10/27-10/28/85 is actually 4/27-4/28/85
