Posted December 20, 200718 yr comment_5425616 This isn't as epic as their match with Lawler having one eye, but is still an amazing match. Lawler takes a sick bump with Dundee baseball sliding right into him as he is hangin onto the ropes, I wish we had the camera angle for the landing. Dundee works on the thigh the whole match including some great cut blocks. Of course we have the spectacular punches, and the great piledriver finish. Easy top five match Tim Cooke Comp
December 20, 200718 yr comment_5425618 For now on, lets start including what disc it is on in the match thread. Thanks.
December 20, 200718 yr Author comment_5425619 Tim Cooke sent me a random disc of stuff, I assume you have this a million places.
December 20, 200718 yr comment_5425623 I have it from Tim as well. If you have a random disc then just put (Tim Cooke Comp) at the bottom. The idea is to get into the habit of putting the disc in the match listing.
December 21, 200718 yr comment_5425715 This is an easy yes. I need to compare different versions to see what the best one is. The FNN/Score special from Rick is easily the best VQ, but my Cornette copy might be more complete.
March 2, 200817 yr comment_5428911 Lawler vs. Dunde Loser Leaves Town Match. This is a huge match in the biggest feud of all time in The Memphis area. Lawler takes a big bump from a Dundee elbow. I loved how Lawler countered Dundee's 2nd attempt at the Bulldog. Dundee nailed him with one earlier. Their are some great near falls here. Having the wrestlers out to watch the match adds to the drama. That bump over the top turnbuckle off a missed knee by Dundee was incredible. Dundee's selling of the knee was great. A big bombs away from Dundee. Dundee's punches on the floor looked brutal. Lawler sold them brilliantly. A huge bump from Lawler off a Dundee punch to the floor to a table. Lawler comeback time with huge punches. Dundee's weeble wobble sell was awesome. Lawler's busted eye looks nasty. That finish was perfect. This is a slam dunk nomination. I thought Lawler was great here, but Dundee was even better. The only real complaint I have of the match was Dundee was selling his knee like a pro, and then just dropped it. Overall, a great match.
March 10, 200817 yr comment_5429295 Is that date correct? If so, is the 11/22/83 match the wrong date? EDIT: Nevermind. It looks like Dundee left for 2 months before he left in a LLT match against Steve Keirn in December.
March 11, 200817 yr comment_5429328 Dundee bounced around when he came back in the fall of 1983. All the dates are correct.
August 4, 200817 yr comment_5433615 Tim says the version on the Memphis Arena Matches '83 discs is better and I trust him.
August 5, 200817 yr comment_5433630 I just watched both versions back to back. I couldn't synch them up in more than one spot. I still agree that the Arena version is the better version. Need to put the Music Video on the set as well to give the voters a more complete look at the match.
August 5, 200817 yr comment_5433656 Help me out... isn';t there a music video recap of this match as well
