Posted January 3, 200817 yr comment_5426294 This was a basic Rock and Roll Express match, Morton takes a pretty big beating as he gets piledriven on the floor, and posted so he is bleeding. Kroffat tries some complicated things he only half pulls off. Hot tag, double dropkick, you know the deal. This isn't high end R+R's, but I am guessing R+R's by the numbers is going to be good enough to make an Islands set.
May 9, 201213 yr comment_5502154 The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. The Kansas Jayhawks ("Hangman" Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat) (3/5/88) Maybe this won't be clipped. Jaggers is really fun here taking the punishment from RnR bumping and stooging around. Kroffat comes in and it's more of the same and this is starting out strong as the fans are very hot for the RnR. Morton & Kroffat worked really well together but here comes the clip.....although it looks like we don't miss much as Morton is still in control although he eats a big clothesline from Jaggers. Morton would get tossed to the floor where he ate piledriver by Jaggers then got posted by Kroffat. Morton is getting his ass kicked here and is juicing heavily. Kroffat hits a diving clothesline while Jaggers holds Morton for a nearfall and then hits a GIANT SWING!!! to set up a Boston Crab. Nice teamwork by the heels here to keep Morton on the mat before both men went down on a double clothesline. Gibson would get the hot tag and he ran wild on the heels before Morton would join in for the 4-way brawl. Morton would hit a big dropkick on Kroffat but Jaggers would attack him although after Kroffat was sent flying to the floor Jaggers would eat a double dropkick to get beat. This was almost complete and a damn good match so this moves forward easily. This is from WWC #64
November 17, 201311 yr comment_5573019 Man was this great. I wouldn't even want to do a full play by play for this in fear I'd miss something. In some ways I think the non-Colon star of this footage has been Kroffat. He is just a great, great athlete and an extremely exciting worker. It's made even better by the fact that he is a very good stooge and he knows how to make his athleticism a tool in the act of playing the fool. I loved the spot with him landing on his feet on a back body drop and turning right into a Morton dropkick. The face shine here was really good and this was probably the best I've seen Jaggers look in this setting as he worked hard bumping and was a commanding presence on offense. Loved the drop down/clothesline combo to take over and the posting/piledriver on the floor combo on Morton was excellent. Kroffat busting out the giant swing/Boston Crab combo had me marking out and the build to the hot tag was slow, sweet and textbook RnR. I guess you could argue that the match would have benefited from a false finish, but that's a real nitpick. This was awesome.
