Posted January 9, 200817 yr comment_5426689 Big angle was the weird Big Bubba gets kidnapped and held in a cabin angle. Not an extra angle, but seriously WTF? Bill Dundee + Jeff Jarrett v. Paul Diamond + Pat Tanaka This was a experation of time match, and I remember those type of matches are really weirdly paced. This felt less like an organic match, and more like some guys killing some time. These guys are good at killing time, but this doesn't make a disc. Tanaka does take a nice backdrop though.
May 4, 200817 yr comment_5431042 Lawler shows up wearing a t-shirt with his name on it talking about getting rid of Chick Donovan and that there will be a tournament for the Southern Tag Titles. (6/6/87) Mark Starr & Billy Travis vs. Jack Hart (Barry Horowitz) & Keith Roberson (6/6/87) Squash and Paul E. is in the heels corner. Tojo comes out with Mr. Shima & Phil Hickerson who cuts a great promo right up there with Tojo who pokes Lance with the kendo stick. Phil Hickerson & Mr. Shima vs. John Paul & Bucky Seigler (6/6/87) Squash. Big Bubba tells Randy Hales and everyone about being kidnapped in Hazard, Kentucky and they go find the cabin he was held up in. This was awesome. Downtown Bruno and Badd Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) refute the claims that Bubba had that they were the ones that kidnapped Bubba. “Superstar” Bill Dundee & Jeff Jarrett vs. Badd Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) (6/6/87) This had some great action and Dundee had Tanaka pinned but Downtown Bruno would interfere for the DQ. Dundee & Jarrett fired some really good punches. They bring back Dundee/Jarrett vs. Diamond/Tanaka for another fall and the great action continues. The future Badd Co. gets the heat on Jarrett and he takes a beating until Dundee has had enough and throws down Jerry Calhoun for the DQ.
