Posted January 14, 200817 yr comment_5427033 Show itself was sort of underwhelming, lots of Jimmy Hart but no real angles outside of a Troy Graham and Hart confrontation. Nightmares v. Batten Twins This was a solidly worked 11 minute tag match. Battens are pretty bland, but the crowd was into Mark being beat on, and the Nightmares have some fun double teams and nasty offense. Clean finish, good TV match and I am throwing it up.

Danny Davis & Len Denton vs. The Louisville Sluggers (Tim Ashley & Steve Constance) (12/22/84) Ken Wayne would come out hitting Ashley with a chair causing Constance to get pinned. Nightmares & Sluggers then trade promos afterwards along with a tremendous Playboy Frazier promo. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert vs. David Johnson (12/22/84) Squash. Lawler comes out talking about Adrian Street but the main thing about this is how he met a fan who quit being a fan of him because he told someone to go to hell. Lawler apologized to everyone and said that he would clean up his language. This is great. (12/22/84) Hart & Dream Machine get into it about their issues and this is tremendous. Definite extra. (12/22/84) The Interns (Don Bass & Dirty Rhodes) vs. Jim Jameson & Ken Raper (12/22/84) Total squash. Iron Mike Sharpe vs. Johnny Wilhoit (12/22/84) Competitive match. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Bart & Brad Batten (12/22/84) Good Memphis-style tag match with both teams working hard and the studio getting behind the scrappy Batten’s. Nightmares showed great teamwork here and actually finished the match right as the time was about to run out. I can see this as a nomination but a low-end one.
