Brad attacks Tully before he has a chance to take off his jacket and the first few minutes have Brad trying to do everything in his power to score the upset victory. The announcers really play up the fact that Brad has to keep taking it to Tully if he expects to win the TV title and the ten minute time limt isn't alot of time to take care of a wrestler of Tully's calibre. The entire match has Brad throwing out everything and Tully clinging on for dear life. Of course, the time limit expires and Tully is saved. I remember marking out watching this match 20 years ago also. I am going to nominate it and if it makes it through the cuts, I think the Horsemen jumping Armstrong would be a nice lead-in. January 24, 20169 yr comment_5723089 Disc1 1.I agree on the Flair/Armstrong segment as an extra 2. Maybe a disc of extras with Dusty cutting promos in a Celtic jacket, and Flair in a Lakers one. Luger-Windham Confrontation (EXTRA) Rock N Roll Express interview w/ David Allen Coe (Surreal. Extra) Disc 2 Tully Blanchard vs Brad Armstrong I'll give this a low end nomination. It was a total blast. With Brad just bringing it to Tully. Tully bumping and trying to escape with the title. It was a nice touch on the outside with J.J counting the money and flashing it to the crowd. Disc 3 I agree on all the extras.

Windham says that the time limit saved Flair and he knows he can beat him.Arn, Tully, & Dillon are out next talking about the Flair/Windham match and that the Andersons are still the best tag team in the world and Tully is the best wrestler on TV. Extra material. The Roadies & Ellering are out next for a promo wondering why everyone is running from them. Garvin then said that 1987 would be a banner year for him.Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Tommy Angel & Chance McQuade (1/24/87)Another dominant performance from Ragin & Ravishing then they cut a good promo with Paul Jones afterwards about how great they are.Vladimir Petrov vs. Alan Martin (1/24/87)Petrov kills this man and then joins Ivan for a promo afterwards on Dusty & Nikita.Cornette & Bubba then come out pissed off about the Starrcade 86 VHS being released and that he is going to get all of the tapes yanked from stores. Cornette then called everyone who watches it perverts. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) & Big Bubba Rogers vs. Denny Brown, Bill Mulkey, & George South (1/24/87)Cornette's boys are definitely on point at this point of their run. Bubba using the Bubba Spike (Liger Bomb) here is amazing. Cornette then cuts another fun promo afterwards.Arn Anderson vs. Bill Tabb (1/24/87)AA takes no prisoners with Tabb and puts him away with ease.Luger cuts a promo next wearing a sweater over his shirt and tie looking very preppy and he wants to be a Horseman so he is dressing the part.World Wide Wrestling 1/31/87Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Vernon Deaton & Gary Royal (1/27/87)Another dominant win for the champs.Ronnie Garvin & Barry Windham are with Bob Caudle next talking about the MX trying to injure Garvin on NWA Pro and that they have started a war. Brad is throwing some great punches here and is trying to put Tully away early so the time limit won't be a factor. Tully fires back with a nice jumping knee to the head but Brad isn't having it and comes back throwing Tully into the corner where he does a Slaughter bump over the top to the floor which was hard to do in the cramped WTBS Studios. Dillon was nervous as hell on the floor as Tully desperately throws Brad to the floor so of course they go to a break and come back with Brad again teeing off on Tully. Tully is great here selling and bumping here even taking the hard running shoulder into the ringpost. Brad is throwing out everything he can to try to put away Tully who is surviving on will and then Tully tries to run away but Brad chases him down and carries him back to the ring. This is fantastic stuff here as Tony & David are going nuts thinking Brad has him beat as the time ticks down. Brad would hit the Russian Legsweep right as time ran out so Tully retains. WOW I haven't watched this in years and I forgot how great this was and it sucks that Brad never got a proper feud with a Horsemen member. This is a easy nomination to me.Dick Murdoch is out next for a promo talking about how good that match was and his barbed wire match with Bubba that night in Kansas City. Horner had his moments here but his partner was garbage. Flair was particularly more vicious here than normal which was fun.Windham comes out afterwards as Luger is with Dillon and is pissed about Luger aligning with Dillon so Luger attacks him ending their friendship.Ivan & Petrov come out next for a promo talking about their mission to end the Super Powers.Vladimir Petrov vs. Zane Smith (1/31/87)Squash.The Super Powers are out next with Nikita is pissed about Ivan talking shit on them and they will take them out soon. Dusty then gets wild talking about Luger and how they are going to kick his ass.Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Kent Glover & Rocky King (1/31/87)Another great Ragin & Ravishing squash.Cornette & Bubba comes out where he makes fun of Tony's haircut. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Vernon Deaton & Larry Stevens (1/31/87)Total MX style squash.Flair comes out next for a promo next dressed like a fuckin pimp wearing a mink coat over his suit. This is a great promo as Flair is showing off his suspenders...then pulls out $5,000 and hands Tony $500 to get a better suit. Slam dunk extra.Dillon is out for a promo which brings out Tim Horner trying to defend Windham's honor leading to....Arn Anderson vs. "White Lightning" Tim Horner (1/31/87)Horner comes out blazing but Arn gets the advantage until Windham runs out and sends Arn out of the ring. Windham then cuts a promo on Lex afterwards.Cornette & MX are out next for a promo about trying to injure Ronnie Garvin.Tully is out next for a promo talking about Windham which leads to a promo with Arn, Ric, & Luger joining but there is no Ole. Luger then put his hand on the pile as well.....Extra material.NWA Pro Wrestling 2/7/87"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Rocky King (2/3/87)Easy win for GarvinArn, Tully, & Dillon are with Tony next talking about how great it is to be a Horseman and we get clips of the Luger turn from TBS.The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantell) vs. Randy Mulkey & John Savage (2/3/87)The Jayhawks have no issues here with these guys.Luger & Dillon are out next with Dillon saying that Luger isn't a Horseman yet but he is a friendly associate. Luger then cuts a promo about how great he is.Vladimir Petrov vs. David Isley (2/3/87)Isley gets mauled here.Tony then interviews Paul Jones along with Ragin & Ravishing next about how big and bad they are.Bullet Bob Armstrong vs. Vernon Deaton (2/3/87)So fun seeing Bullet Bob working in JCP and I thought he was a good addition at this time. Brad was also at ringside watching the match.Tony then interviews Cornette and his boys next and Cornette is great here teeing off on all of his enemies here. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Tommy Angel & Eddie Roberts (2/3/87)Standard fun MX squash as Roberts gets a little offense in which got the crowd going. Windham comes out after the match and distracts the MX so MISS ATLANTA LIVELY!!!! can show up to jump them. Tony joins them in the locker room where Ronnie has pulled off the wig revealing himself. I loved the callback and this is a Slam Dunk Extra. The Super Powers are next with a promo talking about their war with the Russians and how it's war now.The RnR join Tony next talking about how they will be getting their NWA World Tag Titles back soon."Total Package" Lex Luger vs. George South (2/3/87)Luger looks great here.Arn & Tully join Tony next talking about how impressive Luger looked then and how it's great he's on their side. Then Luger & Dillon join them and that Lex is now part of Tully Blanchard Enterprises as a stockholder.Barry Windham vs. Thunderfoot (2/3/87)Barry steamrolls the masked man then yells at the Horsemen to come on down especially Luger. Flair then shows up out of nowhere takes all of his stuff off except his suspenders and fights Windham where he gets his ass kicked until the Horsemen join the beatdown which brings out The Super Powers and The Armstrongs and Spartanburg goes nuts. Luger jumps Dusty out of nowhere and this becomes a fucking standoff. Spartanburg is losing their fucking minds here as the brawl goes on with the babyfaces cleaning house. GRAND SLAM EXTRA.
