Posted January 15, 200817 yr comment_5427121 After reviewing a gazillion discs for the NWA project, there is no way we can make this one set. There has to be a split. Initially, I thought a natural split could occur at the first Crockett TBS taping. However, I think that even throwing in Georgia, Mid Atlantic, Florida, Central States and every other NWA territory, I don't know if we will have hundreds of matches from that early time to choose from. We might but that really depends on the amount of footage we find. To be honest, there are so many matches from 1986-1989 that are being considered (and not even halfway through the footage) that I think 1980-85 would be a good set and 1986-1989 would be another good set. In a way, it also coincides with the completion of the Horsemen as JJ Dillon joins Tully on the 1/4/86 show and Baby Doll is given the boot. Basically, it could be pre-Horsemen and Horsemen+. I don't know what you want to do about Florida. Early Solie Florida fits in with the Georgia and Mid Atlantic as having that Southern vibe. 86 and 87 Florida was the Dusty show. The 1989 Florida I have seen has nothing in common with any early Florida. I would almost prefer to put it in Other. Just something to think about.
