World Championship Wrestling 2/21/87

Tony starts the show mentioning that Ronnie Garvin was seriously injured by the MX and we would see it later.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Thunderfoot #2 (2/21/87)

Valiant toys with the masked man for a bit talking a bunch of shit in the ring before putting him away. Valiant then joins Tony after the match as the fans want him to kiss Tony. Valiant then talks about going for the Crockett Cup with a partner and he is going to give the money away.

Ragin & Ravishing along with Paul Jones come out next talking about the Crockett Cup.

Brad Armstrong vs. Larry Stephens (2/21/87)

Easy win for Brad.

RnR Express are out next for a promo tlaking about the Crockett Cup and Ragin & Ravishing along with the Ronnie Garvin deal. Gibson is out here wearing a Buckwheat sweatshirt.

Bob & Brad Armstrong are out next talking about the Crockett Cup and what happened with the MX burning Ronnie Garvin.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff, "Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch, & Vladimir Petrov vs. Tommy Angel, David Isley, & Rick Sullivan (2/21/87)

Murdoch is pissed off and this is a total mauling then the heels join Tony afterwards ripping on the fans and The Super Powers. Murdoch is especially great here.

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Alan Martin & Rick Nelson (2/21/87)

Rick Nelson would become Rikki Nelson and this was his TBS debut I think and he gets destroyed by the champs. RnR Express then run out after the match and get into a brawl with the champs with both eating Double Dropkicks as the crowd went nuts.

Dillon & Ole Anderson are out next for a promo with Dillon saying that Ole has been away for a couple of weeks but he is here today and gave a Horsemen history lesson. Extra material. Ole says though that Luger isn't a Horsemen just an associate but he is a great man.

"White Lightning" Tim Horner vs. Randy Barber (2/21/87)

Horner looks good here.

The Super Powers are out next for a promo talking about what Murdoch & Ivan said earlier and how they will destroy them. Dusty is tremendous here. Extra material.

Dillon & Luger are out next talking about Ole where Luger said that Ole was great but this is 1987 and youth is in.

Big Bubba Rogers vs. Kent Glover (2/21/87)

Cornette isn't there today because of the Garvin stuff and Bubba kills this guy. MX are carrying the US Tag Titles they stole as well. Jim Crockett comes out and said that Cornette is suspended and he is fining them every day until they give the belts back. Crockett then said that he has signed a cage match between Garvin & Cornette. Next we get a taped promo from Ronnie with a ridiculous makeup job over his burnt eye. This is all extra material.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Randy Mulkey & Zane Smith (2/21/87)

This is total destruction.

Mike Rotundo makes his TBS debut here saying that he is here to say hello to some old friends of his and that if his old partner Barry Windham needs help then he is here.

NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Denny Brown © vs. Rocky King (2/21/87)

A rare title defense on TV of this belt so this is cool. Fine back and forth match between two guys that don't get the chance to do this much on TV. The finish was sloppy and Denny used the trunks to win.

Next we get a taped promo from "Superstar" Bill Dundee talking about the big show at Memphis on 3/5 at Mid-South Coliseum where Dundee is working against Dusty to see who is the King of the South. Extra material.

Baron Von Raschke vs. Brodie Chase (2/21/87)

Chase is no match for the veteran here.

Dillon & Tully are out next for a promo talking about how the Horsemen are the ones bringing in the TV ratings. Tully then makes fun of his old rival Ronnie Garvin as well.

Tully Blanchard, "Total Package" Lex Luger, & The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Bullet Bob Armstrong, Ricky Lee Jones, Dirty Dutch Mantell, & Eddie Roberts (2/21/87)

Roberts was pumped up here teaming with some good babyfaces but he was the weak link. Fun watching Bullet & Ole work against each other and the Horsemen were just machines here.

World Championship Wrestling 2/28/87

Nikita starts the show with a promo congratulating Dusty Rhodes for winning the ultimate Bunkhouse Stampede in Pittsburgh the night before and then he promised that The Super Powers would take care of Ivan, Petrov, & Murdoch.

Tully Blanchard & "Total Package" Lex Luger vs. Chance McQuade & Ricky Sullivan (2/28/87)

Tully & Lex are dominant here.

Jim Crockett joins Tony next saying that they have met with Jim Cornette's attorneys and he will be allowed back on TV and in the arenas but he still has to pay off all the fines that were levied upon them and Cornette must face Ronnie Garvin in a steel cage.

Ragin & Ravishing are out with Paul Jones next with Jones demanding that they be seeded #1 for the Crockett Cup. Ragin & Ravishing then talk about how the RnR Express aren't nearly as good as them.

Barry Windham vs. Thunderfoot #2 (2/28/87)

Easy win for Barry.

Ronnie Garvin joins Windham for a promo afterwards with his bandaged up eye and they have their belts back with Windham saying that he thinks Ronnie is coming back too soon but Ronnie is his own man. Ronnie then talks about his eye injury isn't going to stop him because wrestling is all he knows and he is coming for Cornette.

Brad Armstrong vs. Keith Vincent (2/28/87)

Another strong showing for Brad. Bob would then join Brad for a promo afterwards saying they are definitely ready for the Crockett Cup. Bob also sends a shoutout to Murdoch.

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Jack Jackson & Zane Smith (2/28/87)

Total squash for Ragin & Ravishing. Rude throwing Jackson over the top rope face first to the floor then hitting Zane with the spike DDT was awesome.

Flair is out next for a promo where the fans are chanting "SLICK RIC" as he cuts a great promo about working for JCP. Flair also talks mad shit on Larry Bird which was awesome. Flair also starts the Jimmy Garvin angle talking about Precious wants him. Extra material.

"White Lightning" Tim Horner vs. Kent Glover (2/28/87)

Horner looks good here and he cuts a promo afterwards talking about how he & Mike Rotundo are teaming up in the Crockett Cup and they are going to be ready.

David Crockett is joined by Misty Blue next at ringside who talks about being glad to be in JCP.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs Thunderfoot (2/28/87)

Here is the new babyface Jimmy Garvin and the fans haven't quite got all the way behind him yet but he still looks strong here. Crockett putting over families on commentary is definitely interesting for later in the show.

"Beautiful" Bobby Eaton vs. Larry Stephens (2/28/87)

Bobby working solo here and he looks good.

Next we get David Crockett talking to Dusty Rhodes who had just won the Bunkhouse Stampede from Big Bubba and that he is now coming hard for Murdoch.

The Garvin's are here for their first promo together on TBS with Precious with Jimmy thanking the fans for everything. Jimmy then says that Space Mountain is the shortest ride in the park and the people that ride it get sick. Extra material.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Tommy Angel (2/28/87)

Ronnie KO's Angel in seconds.

Jim Cornette comes out next in his beach clothes and wild glasses which breaks Tony up and he talks about how good it is to be back. This is a great segment. Definite extra.

Big Bubba Rogers vs. George South (2/28/87)

Eaton at ringside wearing the lei that Cornette had is tremendous. It is so odd seeing Cornette not in a suit.

Tully, Luger, & Dillon are out next for a promo talking about how the Four Horsemen is a 24 hour a day job. Luger talks about how all the women love him.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Alan Martin & Randy Mulkey (2/28/87)

The Andersons are just ruthless here in their last match on TBS as a tag team for close to 3 years.

After the match, Dillon talks about the Horsemen legacy like Ole said about last week. Tully then was upset about what Ole said about him being an outsider and then made a comment about Ole's "snot-nosed son" and Ole decked him. Slam Dunk extra.

Misty Blue vs. Linda Dallas (2/28/87)

We get the normal Misty/Linda match here for the first time on TBS. Dillon comes out during the match and tries to tell David & Tony to shut up and as this happens they don't even show the finish to the match because they wanted to show the Ole angle. Dillon wants Ole to come out and apologize but he doesn't do it.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Vernon Deaton (2/28/87)

Nikita wins very quickly with the Russian Sickle.

Dillon is back out and he wants Ole to apologize to everyone but he won't come out. Ole then comes out and he slaps Dillon in the face which brings out Tully who runs and jumps Ole and they brawl around the studio. All of this is extra material.

NWA Pro Wrestling 3/7/87

This starts with Dick Murdoch and the Russians joining Bob & Johnny for a promo talking about coming after The Super Powers and Murdoch calling Bob Armstrong a "swabbie."

Barry Windham vs. Colt Steele (3/3/87)

Easy win for Windham.

Jimmy & Ronnie Garvin vs. Vernon Deaton & Larry Stephens (3/3/87)

The fans are red hot for the Garvins and they have no issues here.

Bill Dundee is out next for a promo talking about how he is bringing Barbarian back from Japan along with the Mod Squad and that they are going to take over.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Bill Mulkey & Gary Royal (3/3/87)

RnR wins in seconds.

The Garvin's & Precious join Tony next for a promo talking about coming after the MX & Big Bubba. Ronnie then talks about how everyone is on their list.

Lazertron vs. Randy Mulkey (3/3/87)

This is Lazer's TV debut and Mulkey was fun selling the absurdity of Lazer.

Bob & Brad Armstrong join Tony next talking about the Crockett Cup and Bob talks about Murdoch is the biggest traitor ever.

Tully Blanchard & "Total Package" Lex Luger vs. Chance McQuade & Eddie Roberts (3/3/87)

Luger & Tully toy with their foes before finishing them off with the Torture Rack.

Tim Horner is with Tony next talking about how he will be teaming with Mike Rotundo at the Crockett Cup and they will be a force.

World Wide Wrestling 3/7/87

Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Mitch Snow & Larry Stephens (3/3/87)

The fans chant Ole as the Horsemen just manhandle these guys.

Next we get a promo from Tully for the 4/4 show in Boston.

The RnR join Bob Caudle next talking about the Crockett Cup and how they are going to win it all.

JJ Dillon talks to Bob Caudle next about the situation with Ole Anderson and we get clips of the angle from TBS.

Baron Von Raschke vs. Bill Mulkey (3/3/87)

Baron gets a quick win with the Iron Claw.

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Chance McQuade & Randy Mulkey (3/3/87)

Good win for the champs.

World Championship Wrestling 3/7/87

This is the first show without the definitive World Championship Wrestling theme and the new one they had made.

Ivan, Murdoch, & Petrov start the show with a promo about The Super Powers and their vendetta against them. Murdoch is especially passionate here.

"Total Package" Lex Luger vs. Rocky King (3/7/87)

Luger totally dismantles Rocky here and we get a promo afterwards with Dillon & Luger about the Ole situation.

Shaska Whatley makes his return to TV after a few months and he said that he is heading to Florida to take care of Ron Simmons.

The Mod Squad (Basher & Spike) vs. Mitch Snow & George South (3/7/87)

Dundee is here managing the Mod Squad in their TBS debut since they graduated from being jobbers Jim & Mac Jeffers. We get a WE WANT LAWLER chant from the fans which was fun. Mod Squad was impressive here.

Next we get a promo from Tony in Baltimore at Sabatino's in Baltimore where they announced the seeds for the Crockett Cup. Extra material.

Mike Rotundo vs. Thunderfoot (3/7/87)

Rotundo makes his TBS debut in the ring and looks good then cuts a promo with Horner afterwards talking about the Crockett Cup and coming for Ed Gantner's Florida Heavyweight Title.

Dundee is out next with The Mod Squad talking about how they are going to make great things happen at the Crockett Cup.

Arn Anderson vs. Mike Jackson (3/7/87)

These two had a helluva damn match a year earlier so let's see how this one goes. Jackson gives Arn some issues but Arn would soon take over as the fans chanted for Ole. Arn would then put Jackson away with the Spinebuster.

Tully then joins Luger & Dillon next for a promo about Ole and Tully said that Ole wasn't around when he was needed enough because he was watching his son. Tully is highly pissed here and cuts a strong promo. Extra material.

Arn then comes out next for a promo with the others where he talked about how Ole failed him and the Horsemen and it really ended at Starrcade 86. Arn said that now he has to prove himself all over again and he was family too. Arn was amazing here and this is a slam dunk extra.

NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Denny Brown © vs. Lazer-Tron (3/7/87)

Hector Guerrero has taken on the Lazer-Tron character here now and this look was so different for the times. Decent back and forth action here but nothing special although they gave this a good amount of time. Lazer gets an upset win here and a star is born.

Cornette and his boys are out next for a promo bitching about the Crockett Cup. Cornette also said that he may burn Jimmy Garvin next.

Ragin & Ravishing are out next with Paul Jones talking about being the top seed in the Crockett Cup and how they are doing to dominate everyone in it.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. David Isley (3/7/87)

Easy win for Valiant.

Bill Dundee & The Barbarian are out next with Dundee saying that no one will beat Barbarian now that he is with him especially Valiant.

The Barbarian vs. Randy Mulkey (3/7/87)

Mulkey gets killed with a Tombstone Piledriver and diving headbutt. During the match, Tony also pimps The Gladiators coming in soon.

The Super Powers are out next for a promo talking about the Crockett Cup and getting rid of Ivan and his crew.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel & Baron Von Raschke vs. Randy Barber & Ricky Sulivan (3/7/87)

The grizzled vets have no problems in this match and then Baron cuts a promo about everything going on in JCP. Baron then goes off on Murdoch.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff, "Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch, & Vladimir Petrov vs. Cougar Jay, Alan Martin, & Zane Smith (3/7/87)

Total squash with the highlight being Murdoch going nuts on the fans.

Barry Windham vs. Chance McQuade (3/7/87)

Windham makes quick work of McQuade and then cuts a promo afterwards talking about his match with Flair at the Crockett Cup.

Brad Armstrong is out next talking about his match against Tully the next night for the NWA World TV Title and he said this time he would come out on top.

"Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin & "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Darrell Dalton & Larry Stephens (3/7/87)

Garvins look strong as a team and we get a promo afterwards about how Ronnie is going to destroy Cornette in the cage.

World Wide Wrestling 3/14/87

This starts with a promo from Dick Murdoch and the Russians talking about how they will win the Crockett Cup and will destroy The Super Powers.

Ole Anderson talks to Tony Schiavone next about the Horsemen and his problems with them and this is great shit as Ole kills Dillon & Tully. Definite extra.

"Total Package" Lex Luger vs. Gary Royal (3/9/87)

Luger toys with Royal before finishing him off with the Torture Rack.

Next we get a promo from Windham about the 4/4 show in Boston.

Windham then talks to Bob Caudle about getting Flair at the Crockett Cup and that Flair is scared his title will be leaving him that night.

Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Brady Boone & Eddie Roberts (3/9/87)

Boone gets a little shine here but the Horsemen handle their business fairly easily before Tully finishes off Roberts with the Slingshot Suplex. Ole jumps in the ring after the match with Arn & Tully leaving ASAP then we go to Cornette & Bubba with Bob Caudle where Dillon goes to him and they send Bubba down to the ring where he brawls with Ole as the show goes off the air.
