Hector & Chavo Guerrero vs. Rip Oliver & Grappler

- The Guerreros get half a crowd since hardly anyone has made there way into the arena yet. However, they bring their high-end offense and Grappler and Oliver are more than willing to bump and sell for them. The heels work over Hector during the Face-in-peril section and they do a solid job working over his back and cheating. Hector stays in the ring longer than I expected and they really play up the hope spots and the fact that Chavo has to save him from being pinned. Just smart tag action so far. After a ref bump, Grappler loads up the boot and accidentally knocks out Oliver allowing Hector to get the pin. Nomination.

Cocoa Samoa vs. Rip Rogers

- I didn't hate this. Nothing really stood out though.

Kendall Windham vs. Jack Hart

- This was similar to the last match in that I didn't find anything offensive but nothing really stood either. However, when Windham wins the match, the crowd goes NUTS.

Harley Race Interview

Rick Rude vs. Billy Jack Haynes

- Rude is sporting the full beard here. Another match I just couldn't get into. After the hot opener, nothing else is really standing out.

Road Warriors Interview

The Road Warriors vs. Harley Race & Stan Hansen

- Hansen doesn't waste any time and starts brawling with the Roadies immediately. Hansen tries to punch Animal but Animal dodges and Hansen slams his fist into the ringpost. No sell. Race grabs Hawk by the head and pops him with the cowbell. No sell. Toward the end of the match, you can tell the Roadies are gassed as HAwk struggles to lift Race for a bress slam and they botch that spot. I don't think this match was very good but it was definitely entertaining.

Ric Flair Interview

Nick Bockwinkel vs. Frankie Lane

- Not much of a match.

Ric Flair vs. Wahoo McDaniel

- Much better than the Houston match and I love that match. The chopping battles between the two are just awesome to watch. It slows down with Wahoo working over Flair's leg but Flair's selling is great. After they go outside, Whoo gets his arm rammed into the ringpost and Flair works the arm until the chopping battle resumes. After an Irish whip to the ropes leas to a sleeper, Wahoo gets the fall!!! Shit, I didn't see that one coming. 2nd fall has Wahoo holding on to the headlock until Flair gpoes outside and is able to damage Wahoo's leg. The remainder of the fall is Flair working over the leg and applying the Figure Four. The end of this fall was also unexpected. With Flair matches, the expectation is if Flair pins you, it's usually a cheap pin or it involves the figure-4. Well, Flair and Wahoo were brawling outside, Flair rams Wahoo's head into the ringpost. After rolling Wahoo inside, Flair pins Wahoo after a simple knee-drop. I love the way the third fall starts as Flair throws Wahoo outside hoping to capitalize the same way he took control in Fall 2. Wahoo is already bleeding from the ringpost shot but when Flair attempts it again, Wahoo rams Flair and he blades. Poetic justice! Back inside, Wahoo sees Flair bleeding and goes for the sleeper again in his attempt to capitalize on what worked for him in Fall One. He falls back and Flair gets the pin while still in the sleeper. THe third fall did not last very long but it brought everything that happened before together flawlessly. Shit,I love this match and I could see it in my Top Ten regardless of what set it is on. Slam dunk
