Larry & Curt Hennig vs. Buddy Rose & Rip Oliver (2/3 falls) (25:00)

- The first 2 falls were very similar to the last match except the heels won the first fall and Larry got the pin after the elbow in the 2nd fall. The 3rd fall ends with a double countout and Matt Borne comes down and a wild brawl ensues. Rip Oliver was busted open during the 3rd fall and Larry joins the crimson party after the match. I think I like the 1st match a little better but this one is at least worthy of a nomination. Maybe in the end, we will only need one.

Edit: This one might make it just for Larry working on the wrist of Rose and the crowd chanting "BREAK IT! BREAK IT!"

This was pretty clearly a weaker match than the previous one between these teams. I was disinterested in Curt's first-fall limbwork, and he didn't get to sell as much as he did in the first match. Things got better with Rose on offense, but that was fleeting. Larry did pretty much the same stuff as he did the first time around. The third fall felt really insubstanial. The crowd wasn't as hot. I don't know; this one just didn't do it for me. No vote.

I loved Owen's intro and Larry holding the tombstone sign pre-match. Larry was fired up and I dug his dancing around Buddy's bumping for his stuff earlier. I thought the crowd was plenty hot in this, but I do think the arm work was far less interesting here than it was in the first match. Not bad work, but it dragged a bit til they heels cut off Curt and took over on him. Really loved the finish to the first fall with the spike shoulderbreaker.

Second fall was decent, but nothing great other than maybe the finishing stuff with Oliver bleeding on the post shots, the ropes breaking and Curt flying in to block Buddy from breaking up the fall.

I liked the Hennig's targeting the cut in the third fall though the work was nothing special. Post-match melee may be better than the match.

I would not oppose this for a set, but I would not fight for it either
