I guess they were influenced by the shootstyle movement? Anyway, it was compelling to watch the partners beat on each other to such an extent, but they didn't exactly flow in the style. It was more like, "OK, it's my turn to beat the crap out of you. Alright, now it's your turn to beat the crap out of me." Neither seemed to have a real plan of attack. It's probably worth putting on, just so people can see how the big-match style evolved. I mean, you'd probably put Kobashi v. Misawa 6/11/99 on an All-Japan 90's set.
