Posted January 20, 200817 yr comment_5427362 Bob Roop vs. Chief Joe Lightfoot (5/1/83) This is from the Omni and it’s complete. Ole joins Roop on commentary and they needle each other making it awesome. Roop looked great in the match but the commentary just totally overshadowed the match as it was so great. Arn Anderson & Matt Borne vs. Pat Rose & Mike Starbuck (5/14/83) I love this ficitious National Tag Titles Tournament that is supposedly going on all over the country because it could never happen today due to the internet. Murdoch gets into it with Ellering at the desk in a hilarious confrontation and it leads to Murdoch brawling with Killer Brooks & Iron Sheik in the ring in yet another 2-on-1 situation. Stan Hansen runs in the ring and he starts going to town on Brooks building up to their tag match at the Omni the next night. Abdullah the Butcher then shows up and he takes care of both Hansen & Murdoch. This was great stuff. Larry Zbyszko vs. Terry Ellis (5/14/83) Squash. Abdullah the Butcher vs. Randy Barber (5/14/83) Squash but the big story is after the match where Ellering and his crew confront Ole Anderson at the desk and it leads to a big brawl with Brooks, Abby, & Sheik beating on Ole until Hansen & Murdoch run them off. Ole comes back out and cuts his big babyface promo where he gives Solie his $500 fine. We have a PWI Press Conference with Paul Ellering next and it’s hilarious. Larry Zbyszko vs. Mike Starbuck (5/14/83) Squash. “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Bob Brown (5/14/83) Squash and Atlas is on commentary which is always great. Atlas comes to the ring jawing with Sawyer so Buzz just leaps over the top rope with a plancha to the floor. Sawyer leaves then comes back with a board pounding Atlas before leaving again. This is a definite extra. Arn Anderson & Matt Borne vs. Terry Ellis & Mike Jackson (5/14/83) Squash. They show a Rufus R. Jones vs. Masa Fuchi squash from World Wide on the Best of Sunday show. Next we get a Scott McGhee squash from Florida. Next we get a Brian Blair squash from Florida. Next we get a Roddy Piper/Red Dog Lane match from World Wide. Next we get a Briscos/Gene Anderson & Bill White match from World Wide. Larry Zbyszko vs. Jason Walker (5/21/83) Squash. They show an old Mr. Wrestling II match from 1980. Bob Roop vs. Tracy Stohr (5/21/83) Squash. National TV Title Tournament – Finals: Ronnie Garvin vs. Iron Sheik (5/21/83) This was a back and forth hard hitting match with both men looking really solid. The action was tight and there was some good matwork. Although this went to a draw which made no sense, still I’m throwing this on the block. They show highlights from Arn/Borne vs. Candy/Tito from Macon on 4/29/83.
