Jonathan Boyd starts the show coming out with Rip Morgan ranting and raving about the Fabs winning the Southern Tag Titles in a tournament. (6/22/85) Jerry Jarrett & Tojo Yamamoto vs. Terry Adonis & Bill Smithson (6/22/85) Nothing much to this and it goes to a DQ when Smithson hit Jerry Calhoun. We get the debut of Leslie Floyd Creatchman III who bombed bigtime in here and he shows the debut video of Bota the Witch Doctor. Lawler then comes out to bash Creatchman who threatens to sue him for his slander and it gets better. The Fabs come out and said they are tired of Boyd’s crying and that they would defend the belts against the Sheeps on TV. Southern Tag Titles: The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) vs. The Sheepherders (Jonathan Boyd & Rip Morgan) (6/22/85) This was a back-and-forth match until Boyd nailed Keirn with the flagpole on the floor causing him to juice and the tide to turn. The Sheeps start pounding on Keirn who is pretty bloody for TV and they keep working on the cut. Keirn fights back though trying his damdnest to get the tag to Lane but when he does, Calhoun doesn’t see it. Keirn would then hit Morgan with the Hot Shot as Calhoun is busy with Lane so Boyd nails Keirn with a loaded sock and would get the pin to win the titles. Tom Renesto then comes out and strips the Sheeps of the titles because of the way they won the titles. Creatchman then comes out saying that he would defend the Sheeps in court so Renesto returns the titles to the Sheeps. This was a very fun match and I’m throwing it on the block. Ron Sexton & Billy Travis vs. Gino Dellaserra & Les Freeman (6/22/85) Sexton & Travis got a big push here with Buddy Wayne as their manager and they were not good as a lead heel team although they weren’t bad overall. Stan Lane comes out and says that Jackie Fargo will replace Keirn in their match against the Sheepherders on 6/24 at MSC. The Pretty Young Things (Norvell Austin & Koko Ware) vs. Johnny Rich & Dennis Upton (6/22/85) Squash with Koko nuking Upton with a brainbuster. Phil Hickerson & The Spoiler (Frank Morrell) vs. Jerry Oske & Jay Youngblood (6/22/85) The match goes to a TV draw. The Sheepherders (Jonathan Boyd & Rip Morgan) vs. Bart & Brad Batten (6/10/85) This is from the Mid-South Coliseum and basically a glorified squash. Ron Sexton & Billy Travis vs. Tracy Smothers & Speedy Tall Tree (6/3/85) This is from MSC and a squash until the Fabs show up to beat the shit out of the heels. The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) vs. Bruiser Brody & Mr. Kareem Muhammad (6/3/85) This is from the MSC and it’s a brawl at the bell as Brody & Kareem jump the Fabs at the bell. Fabs would come back though and would throw some bombs on the monster heels but this wouldn’t last long as Sexton & Travis come out for their revenge. It’s 4-on-2 until the babyface locker room makes the save. Southern Tag Titles: The Pretty Young Things (Norvell Austin & Koko Ware) © vs. Jerry Oske & Tojo Yamamoto (6/10/85) PYT’s are great here as stooging heels just fucking great. Oske is a muscle bound guy and Tojo is Tojo so the action was only so good but damn the PYT’s made this entertaining and their work here was tremendous. Oske wasn’t bad as the FIP and the action ends on this DVD to be continued on the next disk. We pick it up with Oske still getting his ass whipped and Tojo comes in trying to help making it a 4-way brawl. Oske throws referee Tom Branch around then gets in a shoving match leading up to Oske getting nailed with a big right hand by Koko for the win. This was a great show by the PYT’s but not sure about a nomination. Southern Heavyweight Title: Jerry Lawler © vs. Bruiser Brody (6/10/85) This is JIP about 20:00 in the match from the MSC which sucks. The story of the match is referee Tom Branch being a dick to Lawler making sure he doesn’t throw punches then pushes Lawler around trying to get him to fight Brody. It’s more of the same as Brody complains of illegal tactics like chokes getting Branch to be even more of a dick to Lawler. Branch does the same to Brody as he beats Lawler on the floor with weapons but nowhere near as much as he did Lawler then DQed Lawler as he hit Brody with a chair. And after this I have no picture for the Jerry Lawler Show.
