This starts with the Primetime Sunday special from NBC on Memphis Wrestling and this is fantastic.

We get highlights of Lawler/Ken Lucas then a battle royal with Lawler/Ricky Morton on 12/30/79 from Louisville in December 1979.

Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Jerry Jarrett (12/30/79)

Too bad this is 2 days before 1980 because this was fucking great.

We get highlights of Ricky & Robert Gibson beating The A-Team on 1/1/80 at the MSC for the Southern Tag Titles.

Next we get the closing moments of Leroy Brown vs. Bill Dundee from WMC in I think 1977.

Then we get the fucking hilarious Al Costello stuff with Lance Russell causing Lance to cuss. Bill Dundee singing Christmas songs and other hilarious outtakes such as Spiderman and Lawler showing his pubic hair. Then we get Russell & Jarrett in a TV booking meeting that is really awesome and the first music video ever for Lawler called “Bad News.”

Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Hulk Hogan (2/9/81)

This is clipped up but a legendary match nonetheless that should be an extra.

Jos LeDuc vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler (1/18/81)

Lawler comes to the ring propelling from the rafters in an awesome spot for this era. LeDuc manhandles Lawler in the early going but Lawler would use his great punches to stop that attack. There would be a clip and we come back right when Lawler starts his comeback but LeDuc would hit a piledriver after a ref bump. Lawler would kick out of the pinfall attempt though and dropped the strap before beating on LeDuc. Lawler would then use his own piledriver on LeDuc for the DQ since it was illegal in Tennessee. Lawler then takes 10 lashes from Hart as part of the contract if he lost then LeDuc grabbed the strap and started lashing Lawler until they got Lawler undone so he chased LeDuc to the back. Fun stuff.

I feel like all of the 12/79 stuff (including the Prime Time Sunday story) should go on as extras given that they're awesome and close enough to the '80s to at least be really relevant as extras (plus Will was for putting on the original concession stand brawl from Summer '79 on as an extra, anyway). What does everyone else think?

I don't mind putting it on as an extra as long as it correlates with an 80s match. So, if we include 12/79 stuff as extras, there would be a match in 1/80 that we can use where the extras buid to that match. For the concession stand brawl, it will give people a comparison for the 80s CSB.

Gotcha.

What about the Prime Time Sunday feature? It's about the territory in general and aired a week before 1980 started.

Even in 6 years I don't necessarily think there would be enough for '70s polls. Maybe sampler DVDs w/ discussions but not a "definitive" poll.
