Now this was a fun little match with some great action and Rich goes over clean on Roberson with the Thesz Press. Not a nomination but still fun. King Kong Bundy & “Ravishing” Rick Rude vs. Craig Carson & Ken Raper (9/29/84) Squash. Hart comes out in a neckbrace after being announced for a match at the MSC on Monday. Hart supposedly fell in the back slipping on water and has a doctor’s note. We get highlights from the week before of a wild brawl between Lawler/Savage vs. Bundy/Rude that goes all over the studio tearing stuff up. This was fucking great. Rufus R. Jones & Mark Ragin vs. The Destroyers (9/29/84) Squash. Hart comes back saying he is fine and expects Jerry Jarrett to be the mystery partner for Monday night and Lawler comes out wanting Hart to sign a contract saying that he will wrestle. Hart agrees to sign the contract. Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Dr. Death (9/29/84) Lawler is in Cleveland Browns gear because Dr. Death is supposed to be a former Dallas Cowboy. Lawler wins easily. Lawler & Jerry Jarrett unveil the mystery partner but it’s not Jarrett but Handsome Jimmy Valiant who comes out to a mega pop. Next up is the epic Hot Stuff video for Eddie Gilbert. The Dirty White Boys (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) vs. New Generation (Mark Batten & Johnny Wilhoit) (9/29/84) DWB’s win a nice little match. Hart, Bundy, & Rude come out whining about Valiant.
