They did have a fun tag match with Fire and Flame against Eddie Marlin's mystery team of Joe LeDuc and Phil Hickerson. LeDuc and Hickerson are a blast as babyface brawlers coming in and cleaning house, although the match itself I think was a step below a disc level/

The Mod Squad (Basher & Spike) & Mr. Universe vs. Jerry Garmon, David Haskins, & Benny Trailer (8/2/86) Squash. Tarzan Goto & Akio Sato vs. David Baker & Tracy Smothers (8/2/86) Squash. Jerry Jarrett & Tojo cut promos about their upcoming kendo stick lumberjack matches. Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Juicy Johnny (8/2/86) Squash. Handicap Match: Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Jim Jameson & David Johnson (8/2/86) Squash but Lawler would come out attacking him with a steel chair. Bigelow no-sold that and launched Lawler to the floor. Paul Diamond, Jeff Jarrett, & Pat Tanaka vs. Keith Roberson, Rough & Ready (8/2/86) Squash. Eddie Marlin has brought back Fire & Flame from being banned from the studios and says that if they want to compete then they must have to work against whoever puts up against them with the titles on the line. Memphis Vice (Jerry Bryant & Lou Winston) vs. The Rock Steady Crew (King Cobra & Ira Reese) (8/2/86) ROCK STEADY CREW! What a match this is featuring former jobbers and King Cobra getting spotlight roles but it goes to a TV draw. Lance interviews the young babyfaces about the Mid-America Heavyweight Title tournament coming up. (8/9/86) Tarzan Goto & Akio Sato vs. David Haskins & Mike Murphy (8/9/86) Squash. Next we get a JT Southern video to Van Halen’s Jump. JT Southern vs. Keith Eric (8/9/86) JT wins in 31 seconds. Costello leads his charges out and debuts the Mod Squad “License To Hurt” cards. Costello then tells the “Ethopians” in Memphis to quit buying watermelon and fried chicken to buy clothes and shoes instead. Mr. Universe vs. Jim Jameson (8/9/86) Squash. Spike vs. David Baker (8/9/86) Squash. Southern Tag Titles: Fire & Flame © vs. Phil Hickerson & Jos LeDuc (8/9/86) Eddie Marlin brings out quite the mystery team and the champs are pissed. The faces dominate early but the masked men would break out a stick or something to use on Hickerson to weaken him. The object would get dropped and Hickerson would use it leading to a 4-way brawl with the faces doing some mask ripping and busting them open. Hickerson would put Fire in the abominable stretch but he would punch Calhoun to get DQed. The fight continues afterward with everyone brawling at the announce table and Hickerson flying over it. LeDuc starts swinging a chair wildly bashing heads in. This was some awesome stuff but not a nomination although this is extra material.
