Posted February 2, 200817 yr comment_5427758 No matches on this disc, although they did show highlights of the Rage in the Cage which looked fun. This disc does have interviews for the angle where Robert Fuller claiming that Jerry Jarrett stole the CWA from his grandfather. Looks like the angle started the week before, and keeps going. Angle is awesome so far, and the whole thing needs to be an extra. These shows were also setting up a Lord Humongous v. Master of Pain World title match, which I imagine was the shittiest main event in Mid South Coliseum history
May 12, 200817 yr comment_5431242 This starts with highlights from the week before where MOP beat Lawler for the Unified title and all the heels celebrate at the studio. Lawler then cuts a promo about this in the control booth and Gossett announces that he has hooked up with every heel in the company. (4/8/89) Next we get the Robert Fuller angle where he wants his territory back from Jerry Jarrett since he stole it from his family. This is tremendous stuff and definite extra material. Stud Stable then cuts a promo regarding the Rage in the Cage. Master of Pain vs. Tim Hall (4/8/89) Squash. Fuller then leads the Stable out for a live promo where he debuts Detroit Demolition (Randy Culley) as the newest member. Detroit Demolition (Randy Culley) vs. Freezer Thompson (4/8/89) Squash. Jarrett leads his crew out and Lawler wants to join his team and this is great stuff. Next is a Mason-Dixon Connection video. Handicap: Lord Humongous vs. The Blue Knight & The Red Shadow (4/8/89) Red Shadow is in all black which is funny. Total squash. Then we get a Jeff Jarrett video to Born to be my Baby by Bon Jovi. Jeff Jarrett vs. Rough (4/8/89) Squash. Jarrett then KO’s Boss Winter. Brian Lee & The Mason-Dixon Connection (John Paul & Tracy Smothers) vs. Keith Eric, The Grappler, & Ready (4/8/89) Squash. Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Keith Eric (4/15/89) Squash. Lawler then beats some jobbers up, MOP, & Gossett. John Paul comes out and they discuss Tracy Smothers’ injury with Brian Lee replacing Smothers and trying to collect the $20,000 on Jarrett in the Rage in the Cage. Detroit Demolition (Randy Culley) vs. Jed Grundy (4/15/89) Demo would use the kendo stick for the win. Stud Stable then comes out for another group promo where they show highlights of the Rage in the Cage, Brian Lee’s entrance and a Tony Anthony video. Jeff Jarrett & John Paul vs. David Elder & The Grappler (4/15/89) Squash. Jarrett & Paul then cut a promo about Brian Lee after the match. Master of Pain vs. White Knight (4/15/89) Squash. Gossett tries to convince MOP after the match that Lawler is trying to start rumors about him and they aren’t true. Next is a Lord Humongous video. Brian Lee vs. Chris Frazier (4/15/89) Squash. Jarrett runs out and a brawl ensues with the Studs and the faces. Fun stuff.
