Not because it was a great tag match. It was actually pretty vanilla with very little standing out. Still, Pritts and Reaper get about 12 full minutes of hanging with Jumbo and Tenryu! Shit, Pritts must have been dying in there after being accustomed to being squashed by TA in 17 seconds. This is like the Flair-South of tag team match-ups here. Dusty Rhodes & Nikita Koloff v. Ric Flair & Tully Blanchard (11/8/86, Mid Atlantic) - The crowd is HOT for this one. Early on, the Horsemen bump for Dust and the crowd is eating out of his hands. When Nikita steps in, the crowd gets even louder. This isn’t a match so much as it is a spectacle with Nikita showing his clear power advantage and the Horsemen still bumping. The heels finally gain control on Dusty and just stomp and work on his injured hand. Dusty eventually gets Tully in a Figure Four and Nikita flies over them to stop Flair but misses. Flair sells it anyway in the one true blunder of the match. Flair comes off the top rope onto Dust for the DQ ending a match before it really heated up. Super fun but short of a nomination. Terry Gordy/Killer Khan v. Yatsu & Higo Hamaguchi (9/3/86) - Hamaguchi was trying really hard in this one but Gordy was giving him nothing. It seemed really awkward and the crowd was flat in response. Eventually Gordy drops him with his Gonzo piledriver pin but the crowd doesn’t care. Baba/Wajima v. Gary Royal/American Eagle (11/8/86, Mid Atlantic) - This was ugly.
