Wahoo McDaniel (11/8/86, Mid Atlantic) -Manny is a bumping machine, making Wahoo’s offense look better than it really is… except for the chops. Those look like they hurt. Really solid match with Manny controlling, playing up his new heel persona. This only lasted ten about ten minutes but it had some blood, sweet Manny offense, and Wahoo’s chops. I’ll give it a lower-level nomination. Midnight Express & Bubba Rogers v. Rock N Roll Express & Brad Armstrong (11/8/86, Mid Atlantic) - I enjoyed this but it was a step below the super-hot Mid South 6-man tags. I don’t know if I can vote for it but if one of you nominated it, I would take another look. Jumbo Tsuruta v. Stan Hanson (Int'l Title, 09/03/86) - Really slow early on with both guys locking in holds but not doing much with them. The big story in the middle of the match has both guys working on each others’ arms. Still, the crowd is dead and doesn’t seem to care for what either guy is doing even when Hansen gets busted open. By the end, these guys are throwing everything they have at each other to get the crowd to respond but nothing is working. Really disappointing.
September 8, 201015 yr comment_5455448 The first two are JCP. NWA International Heavyweight Title: Jumbo Tsuruta © vs. Stan "The Lariat" Hansen (9/3/86) Hansen had his title taken away so now he is back to challenging for belts. This was one of their lesser bouts as the crowd basically doesn't care and even juice from Hansen doesn't get them going. The guys themselves have a good match but it just didn't work here for some reason then you get the double countout finish. Not a nomination.
