Posted February 6, 200817 yr comment_5427884 All Japan Classics 91 Nick Bockwinkel vs. Jumbo Tsuruta (AWA Title, 7/13/83) - I’ll be interested to hear KHawk’s thoughts on this match but this did nothing for me. I like both guys but I thought that the early feeling out process lasted way too long for this match. The match went about 28 minutes but you things never kicked into gear until about 20 minutes in and nothing stood out as a highlight. No vote from me. Giant Baba, Dory and Terry Funk vs. Bruiser Brody, Stan Hanson & Terry Gordy (8/30/83) - Hansen is a strange beast. I have seen him no-sell tons of credible offense from a bunch of guys. However, he must know who writes the checks because he sells for Baba than anyone I have seen so far. However, I was expecting more from this match. It didn’t really seem to have a clear direction and that disappointed me. I can’t vote for this in good conscience when so many Mid South 6-man matches smoke this.
