Posted February 9, 200817 yr comment_5427989 This isn't my type of wrestling, but I have to give them credit for doing it well. Most Tiger Mask matches you are just waiting for him to blow something. Here all of the complex exchanges were hit cleanly. In fact they almost looked like two indy guys who trained with each other, just a level of smoothness you don't normally see. Rocco is so quick and has a bunch of cool kip ups and bumps. I don't neccesarily want a NJ set with a ton of Tiger Mask matches, but this belongs. (NJC 125)
February 12, 200817 yr comment_5428091 I been watching a lot of Rocco and he was a super heel. He was awesome in the ring, and watching him I wanted to beat his ass.
December 2, 200816 yr comment_5436142 Yeah, if flashy juniors work is your thing, this was about as good as you were going to do in 1982. The quickness of all the reversals and kip-ups in the opening section was pretty damn impressive, even by 2008 standards. It should go on the set.
June 14, 200916 yr comment_5440707 Tiger Mask vs. Black Tiger (WWF Junior Title) - I am not really a fan of Black Tiger but he was pretty good here, matching Tiger Mask hold for hold, flip for flip. A really good match that represents the best in NJ style juniors. It even has the aimless matwork thrown in occasionally to drive Phil batty. Thankfully, it was kept to a minimum here. If there is only one Black Tiger match on the set, this can be it. I know he may appear in some tags but if there are any borderline BT matches, lets drop them and hold on to this one.
