Best of NJPW 1983 vol 2

Gran Hamada/Kantaro Hoshino/Tiger Mask v. Missionaries De La Muerte 1/14/83

So much fun to see MDM whooping some ass in 83, Hamada also works so well with luchadores and he and Texano have some great looking exchanges. Lots of cool triple teams by MDM too. Being such a lucha mark, I may be overrating this, but fuck it.

Killer Khan v. Seji Sakaguchi

Short, and relatively unmemorable

Antonio Inoki/Tatsumi Fujinami v. Riki Choshu/Masa Saito

There was some fun stuff here, but we are going to see much better Choshu Army matches on this and the AJ set. This never kicked into the next gear before your countout finish

Kuniaki Kobayashi v. Black Tiger

A bigger juniors fan might like this more. Tiger rules, and I like Kobayashi, but nothing about this stood out the way it is going to have to for me to recommend.

Negro Navarro v. Tiger Mask 1/20/83

Pretty disappointing, 25 years later, I go out of my way to get Navarro matches, but this was a style clash, that never really got resolved. Some fun individual stuff, but this wasn't a very good match. I blame Tiger Mask.

Antonio Inoki/Tatsumi Fujinami/Seji Sakaguchi v. Riki Choshu/Masa Saito/Killer Khan

This was fun, but much like the tag earlier in this show I get the sense there is better and longer matches in this feud. The post match beatdown was better then the match.
