Posted February 22, 200817 yr comment_5428414 Lightning Express vs. Hollywood Blondes The lightning Express control the first part of the match with some great arm works. Horner's nip ups were just awesome looking. The Lightning Express just do quick tags with one another. The heels gain control on an Armstrong miscue and he ends up on the floor. Rogers does a Savage Ax Handle from the top to the floor. The Blondes have Armstrong in FIP, and go to work on him. Armstrong gets some nice hope spots, and now the crowd is into this match cheering Armstrong on. The crowd pops at the hot tag. Horner gets cut off and begins to sell. Ronnie Garvin comes in and makes the save on a shit finish. I'm going to throw this on the block as a low end nomination. This was a good solid tag match.
February 22, 200817 yr comment_5428420 I'm pretty sure that the dates on the DVDs are the Louisville airdates so the match should be from 11/3.
February 22, 200817 yr comment_5428421 The Hollywood Blondes (Ted Oates & Rip Rogers) vs. The Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong & Tim Horner) (11/10/84) LX looked great early keeping the advantage on Rip Rogers showing off their great quickness and teamwork. The mood changed as when Rogers was tied up in the ropes Armstrong tried to hit a cross body block but Rogers moved and Armstrong went crashing to the floor. Rogers came off the top with an diving axehandle and threw him back in the ring where Oates would follow up. The heels would beat on Brad but he would fight back to make the hot tag to Horner who came in blazing but as he got Rogers in an O’Connor Roll, Oates came off the middle rope with a clothesline. The heels would go for a spike piledriver on Horner befor Brad broke it up. They would chunk Horner to the floor and tried the spike piledriver on Brad but Ronnie Garvin would run in to make the save but got the LX DQed. Fun match with a crappy finish. I didn't nominate this on first viewing because of the finish so I'm going no on this one.
May 26, 200817 yr comment_5431622 I am going to go ahead and nominate this, Horner's kip ups were as good as I have ever seen, and I loved Armstrong bump to the floor. Add the fun Ted Oates bumping, I think this is good enough to go forward despite the finish
August 1, 200817 yr comment_5433470 - I really liked this one. Both Armstrong and Horner used their speed and wits to frustrate the Blondes and the facial frustration was great. The Garvin interference sucked balls so that may hut its chances but this should definitely move ahead.
