Nothing much on this show, they do a weird thing where they have a battle royal which starts, they stop it for commercial with Doug Gilbert, Wildside and Ricky Morton left, then the restart it post commercial and have seven minutes of the three heels trying to throw out Morton. Then they run out of time, and start with the same four for another five minutes the next week. All of that leads to the Wildside beating on Ricky untill Robert comes out to run them off. I also wanted to nominate Gary Albright/Doug Gilbert v. Plowboy Frazier/Dustin Rhodes just for the pure WARness of it, but it wasn't very good and ended without a finish

Gossett promises his services free if they beat the faces. Once again everyone is scared of Freddy and this is so hilarious watching son and father go at it. Freddy would go after Gossett as everyone fights and the brawl would soon go to the floor for a wild double countout. Gossett then shows a taped video hyping up his Zombie. This was fun stuff.

 

Dustin cuts a taped promo on Black Bart vowing to beat him in the cage. Dustin is trying way too hard to be Dusty. DWB & Bart then cut a retort promo.

Next up is the battle royal with everyone and this is a lot of fun with the final 4 being Ricky Morton, Doug Gilbert, & Wild Side. They pause the match and go to a break then they resume it when they come back but TV time runs out before anyone is eliminated as they just feel like beating the fuck out of Morton. Lawler comes out before time runs out trying to root Morton on.

 

The battle royal would conclude on the next show and Morton continues to get his ass kicked until Robert Gibson would show up to make the save. (8/5/89)
